Xbox one keep asking for money to pay them not sure I need to set up an debit card account

Are you trying to play online multiplayer? If so you would need an Xbox Live Gold account. You can verify if you have one, renew it, etc. by going to account.microsoft.com then Services & subscriptions.

Thanks for coming to the forums with your question. Sounds like you have subscriptions set to auto renew when they are about to expire. You can go and view you subscriptions from the Xbox go to settings>account>subscriptions there it will say if renew is
on. If you are still unclear as to what is being charged you can chat with support.

When you go to Contact Us to get it to request a chat follow these steps:

• Step 1 ----select Xbox One
  
• Step 2 ----select see other options then subscription changes
  
• Step 3-----select show contact options
  
  Step 4 ----select chat with Xbox support
  

Once they call explain the issue and they will be able to help you. Note that these options regularly change so just keep selecting something that gives request a call from support as a contact option.

Yes since it is a subscription that has to be payed monthly you will have to have an billing address set up and a debit card so in case your money on your account runs out the subscription will be payed you can cance it after the first payment but you
still need a credit or debit card or paypal

You can't pay for xbox live with your account money.

You need an actual 1month,3 month,12 month subscription card or pay via credit/debit card.
