    Xbox One just updated and there is no sound


    Hello,

    I have just updated my Xbox after not using it for a while. Now there is no sound. I have tried to fix it via troubleshooting, but nothing seems to work. I followed the support guide to do the internal settings and I tried the unplug and replug your HDMI
    cable, still no sound. Has this happened to anyone else?

    Final Fantasy 15 No sound

    I bought Final Fantasy today and updated/installed it on Xbox one S

    But there's no sound while playing.

    Xbox sound works except in game sound don't work.

    Any help ?

    All my settings are good except just no sound on final Fantasy 15

    Stereo Headset Adapter Not Working - After Installation

    I installed the stereo headset adapter and updated the controller. It worked perfectly after the installation before I shut down the Xbox One. The next time I logged in the headphones had no sound. I can hear the beeps when the volume reaches maximum
    and minimum but no sound from the Xbox One. Is it just a setting which needs to be adjusted?

    Hello!

    Thanks for reaching out to us here on the forums with this situation. I understand you're having trouble with the Audio from the Xbox One going through the 3.5mm jack on your controller. Do you have full battery charge? Perhaps try plugging the Aux cord
    into like your phone and make sure its not the sound system malfunctioning. If it works you may want to try a different controller just in case.

    No Dolby Digital or DTS via optical output?

    I just read this:

    support.xbox.com/.../digital-sound-not-working

    So how is there surround sound for this but not both Dolby Digital and DTS for Blu-ray and gaming? Since the xbox auto updates, how will I know when an update that adds surround sound and 3D for Blu-ray and gaming is downloaded?

    This just sounds like an unfortunate coincidence I can't see how the Xbox One update could cause a failure of the TV.

    Yes, the DSS will work with the Xbox One and X12 headset and you will able to talk just fine.

    Although, at this moment in time, the Xbox One does not support surround sound, yet! It will in the future though when they release an update for it as stated by Microsoft. Right now it only outputs stereo sound (which is also a really nice sound quality).
    So stay tuned for surround sound in the future!
