I think it is extremely unfair for this company to treat loyal fans/customers the way they do. My day one controller is faulty and so I my 7 month controller. The joystick drifts in no matter what game I play and no matter what app I am trying to use. Their
solution to the problem is to "Buy another controller". Thats another 50 to 60 dollars having to be spent on controllers that YOU claimed would no mess up. I think it is unfair for this company to do this to people when they made the faulty product. It's a
9- day warranty of accessories they said, but on day 91 if it screws up....it isn't their fault you'll just have to buy another controller. Been a loyal fan for 8 years, been on XBL for 8 years and this is what I get. I spend money on a new console and other
products to then be told in order to get something replaced I have to pay full price because of their mistake. THis is terrible and frustrating not only to me but countless others who are having this issue. Funny how this is "Awesome Controller" was tested
and that nothing should happen to them. Well Microsoft, tell me why I just got my niece an Xbox One for Christmas and she is experiencing the same issue. Replacing it is fine on her end but, why has it becomes damaged if she just got it. You made the crappy
product. Its evident, you should at least help customers get it replaced or reduced it to half price since it is your mistake, So over this crap. Two controllers down and I'm supposed to by myself another one because you won't help me. I'm sure many have complained
and I bet you this issues will continue. FIX IT MICROSOFT!!!! Or you'll be losing plenty of customers to Sony.

    :)

Hi. There's no option to register your controller because processing a replacement for your controller will be done under your Xbox. You will need to register the Xbox at https://support.microsoft.com/en-us/devices and see if you will get the option to replace
the controller. If none showed up, then please contact support Contact Us | Xbox Support.

    Hi there,

when registering it on the website doesn't work then it's best to contact Xbox Support via Phone or Microsoft Support Chat at
    Contact Us | Xbox Support

They should be able to set up a service request for your controller too

Depending on your playstyle your controller lasts a lifetime or wears out in a few months. On my 360 I bought about 3 controllers in total while a friend of mine bought 7 in a shorter period of time just because he was very rough with them. The internal
component wears out because of friction, which is normal. The more you use it, the faster you pull the stick from one side to another the more it heats up because of friction and things get out of balance.

All mechanical components wear out, car breaks need to be replaced because they wear out aswell same with tires and the same with your controller. Dropping a controller is a big factor in this aswell, I'm not saying you dropped it but maybe that's part of
    the cause.

They could fix it by using a different metal or other stronger parts but the price of the controller would increase because of added production costs. These stronger materials would weigh more so there's also added transport costs and would probably make
the controller 80$ and people would be mad about that aswell.

It might also be a production fail as there is a margin of error and every so many units will be faulty, that's just how it is. You can send it to a repair centre but the cost of shipping and repairing would be the same as buying a new one that's why they
say to buy a new version.

In my opinion they just need to allow you to recalibrate your controller like on the pc , then there would be no stick drift

why did you buy your niece an xbox one after you had to buy 2 controllers. "this happens every time!" ha, seems you already know what to expect, and yet still seem surprised/aggravated when they stop working. no offence. 90 days should be plenty of time
to know whether or not your controller works. if it does, it must be your fault when it begins to mess up. I don't like sony controllers, that's why I bought an xbox. (not to mention halo). and the customer support is fantastic. I had the same problem, but
the person I "chatted" with was very polite and got me a free controller.

How to Fix Xbox Controller Drift Issue?

    Hello Camie Paiz,

    Welcome to the Microsoft Community.

The Xbox controller drift (also known as joystick drift) you're experiencing is a common problem, especially after prolonged use. Drift usually refers to the controller's joysticks (especially the left or right joysticks) moving on their own without any action, or triggering certain motions when there is no manual input. This problem is usually caused by wear and tear on the joystick sensors or buildup of debris such as dust.
A common cause of drift is the buildup of dust, grease, or dirt under the joystick, which can affect the performance of its sensors. The following methods can be used

    1. Clean the controller:
Turn off the controller and make sure it is not connected to any devices.
Use compressed air or a cotton swab (moistened with a small amount of alcohol) to gently clean the area around the joysticks, especially the edges of the joysticks and the sensor section.
You can also try using a microfiber cloth to clean the surface of the joysticks.

    2. Recalibrate the controller
Xbox controllers sometimes drift because they are not calibrated correctly, try recalibrating the controller:
Open Settings → Devices & Accessories.
Select your controller, click Configure, then select Calibrate and follow the on-screen prompts. 3.

    3. Check the deadband adjustment in Settings
Some Xbox controller drift issues may be caused by the controller's Dead Zone setting. The dead zone is the area of the controller that does not respond when the controller's joystick is not fully returned to center. By adjusting the Dead Zone, you may be able to reduce the effects of drift.
In some games, especially through the Xbox Accessories app, you can adjust the joystick's Dead Zone setting:
Download and open the Xbox Accessories app in the Microsoft Store.
Connect your controller and select it.
In the Settings menu, find the option for Joystick Deadband and try adjusting the deadband value to see if it alleviates the drifting issue.

Please feel free contact me if you need more help.

    Best regards

    Sensitivity on controller to high

Most games have individual sensitivity settings but I've never heard of anyone having issues in the dashboard unless you're controller is faulty. Sounds like you may have some very severe stick drift.
