Xbox One issues

Hi,

I am hoping there may be help found here in the forums for a few issues that I am having with my console,

I noticed about a month ago that when I would fire up my Xbox about half the time I would get an icon in the right top corner that my kinect was not connected. I would unplug/replug it and it would recognize. About two weeks ago I began noticing that the
unplug/replug fix would not always work. So now my kinect being connected is kind of a crap shoot.

A secondary issue that I have only experienced once (so far) is that my tv would look be incredibly dim, as if I had walked away from the system and it was conserving power. At first I thought this was the tv itself (2008 Samsung LCD so that did not seem
too far fetched) but on a whim I switched over to HDMI2 where the 360 is connected and the tv was fine, bright, glowy and perfect. I went back to HDMI1 and the issue was the same, dark, unseeablly dim screen. I do a hard reset on the One and it's fine now.

I don't know if it's possible these two issues are related, I doubt it, but wanted to see what the community thought. As for the hardwear itself, it was purchased in November of '13 for December '13 gifting, so it's in, I am assuming, the first few "batches"
of Xbox Ones.

Also, the system is set up to automatically update software when Microsoft releases updates.

I am wondering if these are potential software glitches or (god forbid) some sort of slow-mo hardwear failure.

Any input or advice would be appreciated.

Xbox one issues

There is now a problem when inserting games. Upon pressing The eject button Xbox one ejects the games then quickly pulls them back in. Also after putting in a new game xbox tells me error and I then restart the Xbox one everything is fine until I eject a
game.

 

For the second issue I would try switching HDMI cords and from HDMI one to two. But I am not sure about the Kinect.

 

Thanks for idea there. Perhaps the hdmi cable is just going bad cause after the hard reset it was ok.

The kinect issue has me totally stumped. I know that piece of hardware is much maligned but I really am pretty used to using it for "record that" or "snap party" or "please tell why I suck in destiny's crucible", though I know Siri or Cortana would be better
served in answering that last one.

 

Lol I would talk to tech support on Xbox.com, but I use Kinect to yell "why does my gun shoot hearts and my enemies rip me a new one in 2 shoots!!!" on COD, but more cursing and yelling.

 

With this new update my xbox is sluggish. It will freeze for about 5 seconds then play fine for a few minuets. I never had this problem until the new update automatically installed. I tried unplugging it and it didn't fix the issue.
