Xbox One Issues since Feb 14th update.

Since update my Xbox wont turn off external equipment. Optical audio no longer working as well so now my turtle beach headset doesn't receive the sound. i tried to resync everything but it wont work. Anyone else having this issue?

Now I re-downloaded my profile and everything seems to be working.

I have had a couple of different issues since the Feb. update. First of all, I have had a couple of instances where my screen goes black. I can hear games and apps in the background, but I can't see anything. If I turn the system on and off, the screen remains
black. The only way I can fix the issue is to perform a hard restart (turning power off completely through unplugging, etc.). The other issue that I've had is with voice commands, particularly with Netflix (pause, play, etc.). If I say "Xbox play" or "Xbox
pause" it says that I can't "play" or "pause" here. Hopefully these "bugs" get fixed soon. Still love the system. The issues are frustrating at times, but I figure that they will get taken care of soon enough.

 

I keep my xbox one unplugged (no power) when not is use. I turned it on today after few days and it asked me to update. After update all of sudden kinect is not working. I see message that kinect is not plugged in.

It appears to be software issue as I didn't move anything. Any clues ?

 

I have the same problem with my Kinect. After the update it stopped working (message that kinect is not plugged in). I agree it has to be a software issue.

 

It seems some people having been having a hard time with their Kinects and using their voice commands. Here's a couple solutions:

1) If your voice commands aren't working, and your Kinect is plugged in (the white light on the front is on), try doing a hard reset/power drain.

*Turn off the system

*Unplug the system from the wall

*Hold the power sensor on the front of the console down for 20 secs (to drain the system)

*Plug back in and turn on

This should run a reset maintenance on the system and should reset the Kinect command protocols.

2) If your Kinect is not coming on it may actually be a hardware problem. The new Kinect units do have a known issue with the cords that may cause some of them to short out. Follow the suggested trouble shooting at:

If these steps don't work, you may need to set up an exchange for your Kinect.
