  1. Xbox One issues after connecting headphones

I just got my One system last month and so I went ahead and connected my Galaxy S7 headphones and it works great to hear and chat. Only problem is that ever since I connected my headphones to the controller. The in game characters voices are extremely low
compared to the game sound i can only hear the voices if i connect my headphones again. I only use my headphones for black ops 3 to hear enemies because my tv sound isn't the best. So what I'm really trying to say is I want to hear characters and game sound
equally. I'm tired of having to play with headphones every time I pay the division to be able to hear phone calls and what people in the game say. Is they're a fix to this. I even purchased the headset adapter and evened out the game and chat again to factory
but nothing I've tried resetting it while the headphones aren't plugged nothing. I hate having to play with headphones 24/7 I only use them for late night game.

    :)

  2. Xbox stereo headphones

One pair of stereo headphones now broken due to use after 4 months of usage. Plastic pin connecting the head band to the earmuffs snapped. Crazy Glue does not work. Exchange possible? Thanks, Bryan

Current Gaming Headphone with Next Gen Controller Mic Connection

I was just wondering, with the new controller coming out for the Xbox one, will the current headphone mic jack in the controller work the same?

I currently have a set of 7.1 Surround Sound Turtle Beach headphones, and I think when looking at the new controller the headset connection portion to chat looks different. So I was wondering do we need to get new gaming headphones in order to use the chat feature with the new xbox one controller.

    Xbox controller damages headphones

Hello, DeliriouSquarer. Thanks for reaching out! My name is Lucas, and I'm an Independent Advisor and a Microsoft user just like you. I'll be happy to assist you today.

So if you connect your headphones to your Xbox controller, after some time it starts to malfunction. But if you connect this same headphone to your phone or PS controller it works? That's correct?

Or the headphones you use with your PS controller and phone functions for a long time and the headphones you use with your Xbox controller start to malfunction after a while? (And do not function anymore after that).

I'm not an electrical technician but this can be caused if your controller is having electronic issues inside it or on the headphone jack/port. I would recommend you to take your Xbox controller to an electronic store for repair.

Maybe a headphone Jack problem possibly a different problem

    Hello Findinglavacake,

Welcome to Xbox Community Forum. Thank you for sharing your concern with us today and we hope that all is well.

We understand that you are experiencing issues with the headphone and controller. Let us check on this together and sort this out in timely manner for you to get back to gaming.

Based on your description, your headphones work on every device and the controller will work on every headset you own. However, this two will not work together. To have a better understanding, we would like to further isolate your concern.

    1. May we ask when did this issue happen? Was there an update you install on the driver or the OS of the device you connected?
    2. After you plugged the headphone jack on the controller in what device are you connecting the controller? Is it Xbox Series X|S or Xbox One or PC or mobile?
    3. May we ask for the make and model of the headphones and the controller?
    4. Was there an update of the drivers for headphones?
    5. Will the headphones connect wirelessly not wired?

There could be a fix if the issue happens after an update, you may contact the device support for assistance however, if it is different then we need to check further on the details.

We look forward to your response.

Kindly let us know, if there is any misunderstanding or clarifications of our description by sending us a reply.

    Sincerely,

Using a USB Mic with an Xbox One console

USB is for controller charging purposes only, not for use unless you use the xbox adapter. Connecting your headphones to the console's USB port will not allow audio to work on your headphones.

Pre-stream Xbox Fitness Videos? (aka "insufficient bandwidth" error)

I think it is RF interference - bandwidth too the router not after it. Video failed 3 times in a row, turned off my turtle beach headphones transmitter and it worked all the way through 1st time. This would also explain why one of the the other answers
found a wired connection sorted the problem. (been playing COD and NFS without noticeable issues though, apart from the odd pop and crackle through the headphones)
