Xbox one issue

So I wanted to turn off auto syncing and automatic cloud updates and constant ads/community updates so basically the settings that would allow me to reduce my broadband data usage on my isp but for the life of me could not find them.

So obviously my xbox one is broken. Is it not?

I'm not entirely sure I understand what you are talking about, Are you saying that the console keeps returning to the Home screen?

If so, possibly it's the controller that is faulty...

If you could provide more detail and format it in such a way that it's easier to understand, with some examples. That way we can provide more help.

 

Unfortunately, the new Gen consoles rely heavily on the internet to function properly. I am not sure you could really consider their basic functionality a major flaw.

 

Moments after posting I did realise it's not so much a major flaw but rather a minor one concerning a quality of life or service. However the option existed last gen meaning it was a fully reasonable option that should have been added but didn't. Because
there are those who like to use it and those who don't.

 

Sorry it is not functioning the way you had envisioned. With the way consoles and games are updated even before they are used I have to believe that their dependence of being online is only going to grow.

 

I agree that is it not how I envisioned it because consoles are made for ease of access rather than like a pc where can you a strictly monitor your activity to provide yourself with your own optimal settings.

The dependance of online connention is not so much for best setting but for the ease of the consumer as to not have many things to micromanage but to provide them with quick and easy access however that is becoming more of an negative prospect of the "console's
envision" because most isp are limiting data usage opposed to unlimited which in turn devalues their quality of service.

( just realised these words feel like I am being hard headed or seeking a debate because I am disgruntled with my service, =/ )

 

ehh im done though. got my thoughts in order to provide me some insight to the other side.thanks anyways for letting me bounce myideas around and getting some clearity to what i was lookingfor.

 

however i believe it something that needs to be added
