Xbox One issue: home page not loading

Alright. Here's the problem.

Upon turning my Xbox One on, I get the usual green 'Xbox One' loading screen. After this, I normally expect to be redirected to the home page. However, now, after the loading screen, I simply get a black screen. To be sure; my console is on, plugged through
HDMI to my TV, and my source is correctly selected (so basically it's not as if I were staring at a switched-off console by accident). My console just doesn't load the home page.

Now after roughly 10 minutes of not-so-patient waiting, I tend to get one of the two following error codes:

- 0x80040900 --> claims there's an error and suggests to inquire about it to Microsoft support (hence the post)

- 0x8027025a --> claims the loading took unexpectedly long (du-uh)

I've tried switching my console on/off multiple times, hard-resetting it multiple times, unplugging/replugging is multiple times, and proceeded to restarting my wifi router.

I fail every time to get to the home page (and thus can't access my settings to check and assess the connection...) and always get one of the two error messages randomly.

To sum things up, I cannot seem to normally access my Xbox functions (because nothing loads and I get a black screen). I've tried doing all the basic manoeuvres which tend to fix the issue in 90% of the time.

This is a particularly crippling bug, and I'd be immensely grateful if someone could come up with a fix.

Unity won't load. Please help!

Just got a One and just downloaded AC:Unity. It has finally fully downloaded, but when I select it, it starts to load for a second and then goes back to home page. Is this a known issue? Any way around it besides deleting a re downloading? Thanks is advance.

That might have happened to me once, i'm not sure if I had the same problem as but I clicked the guide button, started up the disk and then dashboarded and haven't had the problem since.

I only had this problem once so it could be different but its worth a shot..

 

Hi there,

please try the following steps:

1. Power off your console, and then unplug the power cord to ensure that the console is completely powered off.

2. Wait at least 30 seconds.

3. Plug the power cord back in.

4. Press and hold the BIND button (located on the left side of the console) and the EJECT button (located on the front of the console), and then press the Xbox button on the console.

Continue holding the BIND and EJECT buttons for 10-15 seconds.

Listen for two “power-up” tones a couple of seconds apart. Note If you don't hear two power-up tones after 15 seconds, it means this failed. Likewise, if you hear any “power-down” chirps, that also means this failed.

You can release the BIND and EJECT buttons after the second power-up tone.

5. This should show a menu with the option to factory reset the console, if it does not please try the steps again

When the menu with the factory reset options shows, you can select that option and choose between keeping the games and apps installed or doing a full reset. For now you can try it with keeping Games and Apps installed.

this has been going on for months, i cant believe that they still have not sorted this. did you have any luck eventually ?
