Xbox One isn’t working after storms last night

So we had some strong storms come through last night. A power outage lasted about 45 minutes and then a few flickers later in the evening. All of my electronics were plugged into surge protectors. My TV and speaker system both still work, however my Xbox and Laptop both got fried. The Xbox power brick lights up a steady orange while plugged into the wall but NOT the Xbox. It blinks orange when plugged into both. I can’t get the Xbox to turn on, but it does make the turn on sound when I push the power button. I tried another power brick and it did nothing. Does my Xbox need service/to be replaced?

Sadly, Microsoft no longer repairs Xbox One Original consoles. You will have to find an electronics repairs shop that repairs Xbox One Original consoles.

According to that page my console is fried. It was plugged into a surge protector too.

The cost of an out-of-warranty console repair varies - $99.99 plus tax. But it could be best to check the prices with an electronics repair shop.

Did you try to connect your power brick directly to the wall outlet? Does the same issue happen with both power bricks?

I am sorry to hear that. Sadly, your console needs repair. Microsoft no longer repairs Xbox One Original consoles, but you can visit an electronics repair shop and ask them to repair your console.
