Xbox one is unusable offline if not the "home" xbox

Discus and support Xbox one is unusable offline if not the "home" xbox in XBoX on Consoles to solve the problem; So my internet is shut off, I am moving soon.     So my internet is shut off, I am moving soon. There is a large issue trying to use the console I have here. This console is not the home xbox, so nothing works on it. No games, won't play movies, can't use any apps.

    I can't change it to the home xbox unless I have internet. Even a factory reset won't help.

    Why is the system set up this way?

    Can you guys fix this in a future patch.

    I am a loyal xbox customer with over 250 games, and my xbox is useless.

    If this isn't something that will be fixed, I will have to change to PlayStation.

    gaming offline - thoughts, comments?

    HI,

    Recently I have had and issue installing an alpha build update.

    Could not get past error 8B05000F.

    I then chose to stay offline but found my xbox to be unusable because it was offline.

    any one has suggestions for games that can be played offline on the xbox?

    anything else that the xbox can be used for while offline?

    Set you console to offline mode following the steps below:

    How to go offline

    1.Scroll left on the Home screen to open the guide.

    2.Select Settings.

    3.Select All Settings.

    4.Select Network.

    5.Select Network settings, and then select Go offline.

    Also you may need to set your console to your 'Home' console:

    Designate an Xbox One console as your home Xbox

    Note You can designate only one console as your home Xbox.

    1.Scroll left from Home to open the guide.

    2.Select Settings.

    3.Select All Settings.

    4.Select Personalisation.

    5.Select My home Xbox.

    6.Review the information, and then do one of the following:

    •Select Make this my home Xbox to designate the console as your home Xbox.

    •Select This is not my home Xbox to remove the designation.

    It's a licensing issue. You would run into the same issue on the Playstation.

    I'm selling my Xbox one s and if I reset the console, will the games also go away or will the games I bought from Microsoft store go away aswell!?

    that's because it was set as your home console, if you ever sign into a new Xbox then make it home the games will become unusable on the old one, but like I say selling an Xbox with your games on is a breach of the terms and bannable.

    Is this the only Xbox One you have? If so, then log in with the account that purchased the games and make the console the Home Xbox, this should let you play the game offline. You have to be online to make the console the home Xbox though.
