Xbox One is starting to seem like a let-down

Steam Box = a box that sits under your tv i think the majority would define that as a console and a potential threat to next gen.

Seems like xbox one s is down scaling UHD

when I play a UHD movie, the resolution sent to my TV changes from 3840x2160 60p to 1980x1080 24p as soon as the disk starts playing. Not sure why this is, but the player seems to be down scaling the signal. Any help or comment would be appreciated.

Exactly, its just a little cleaner from the res bump.

 

I say this time and again if you pay $60 for an xbox live membership you are doing it wrong.

 

steam seems like a waste to me , 80% of the games they have I never heard of. seems like they're mostly indie games to me. I having against them but I don't see madden, halo, 2k sport games, or even the sims games on steam.

 

here's what I mean these aren't your 5 star games I never heard of any of them.

no wonder they're less then $10.00 each give or take a few bucks

 

Ghostz is on Steam, so is AC and so is Far Cry. GTA on there except for V has it not been released for PC yet.

I wouldnt call it that. Its a gaming PC at its core and those are already available and havent killed off consoles

 

yea but you could say the same regarding next gen as each console is made up of pc parts. Anyway that's how Steam looks now doesn't mean it won't evolve around the new steam boxes. A developer will go where the money is.

 

I'm very happy with my X1 and the upcoming game lineup, getting early access to a beta is not enough to make me excited for another console and personally feel that the more I see about Destiny the less excited it get for it, and my take on Live is that
I pay the membership to play online with my friends and nothing else, been doing that since beta testing Live on the OG Xbox, and I continue to pay for Live for the reliability of the service.

The PS4 and X1 have some exciting stuff down the line, both also have their pluses and minuses, and it comes down to which console excites you more, or like me, I plan on getting a PS4 down the road for exclusives, but right now there is nothing on the PS4
that I want to play.

 

The only argument I always find strange in these comparison forums is the whole "you have to pay $60 for live". Well you have to pay to play online on the ps4 as well. So to me that comparison is a totally moot point and I really wish people wouldn't bring
it up.

 

And it's funny when they say you "as in the company" better make it worth my while. The service is in place for you to make the best of it on your own.

Nobody put a and forced you to join.

I disagree whole heartedly. I think the XboxOne is a wonderful piece of tech. I think the games are are excellent and fun. This is just the beginning. With a few tweaks here and there the XboxOne is gonna be phenomenal. The games are only gonna get better.

I was fooling around on the 360 and the Ui feels so clunky to me now. The controller was very awkward and I never realized how cramped my big fingers were with the pertruding battery pack. So yes I feel XboxOne is much nicer then its predecessor and will
only get better over time.

This is my opinion . I don't agree with op at all but your entitled. All I know is I am enjoying my experience thoroughly and nobody can change that fact. I'm a very proud and happy XboxOne owner early adaptor and look forward to a bright future for the
XboxOne!!

 

Not at all a let down in my opinion.
