Xbox One is sadly disappointing.

Strange isn't it!? It's almost like this console has only been out a few months.

 

It hasn't really been going good for the Xbone. Even if they were fix the ton of issues with it they still need to find a better solution to make it more appealing to gamers. The decision to put the gaming aspect of the console on the sidelines and focus
on the other stuff has really hurt it. The choices and decisions they have made could maybe destroy the xbox brand. The only thing that is currently keeping it alive are the fanboys and exclusives "Titanfall"

 

@Auswolf... I'm gonna go out on a limb here and say that your post has a lot of conjecture in it.

 

Well it is way to early to tell what will happen, it could go either way. So if your saying my opinion is incomplete that is understandable as it is too soon to tell what will happen down the line. I never said what I said was fact simply just stated my
opinion on the matter. We do know alot of people are not happy with the console in its current state and we also know that Microsoft have made alot of poor decisions in regards to the One console. Some tech heads are also worried whether it will be future
proofed with the choice of ram of the console. We will just have to wait and see what happens down the road.

It's pretty well known that Microsoft ignore this forum. So it's easy for them to ignore customers with complaints.

What people with issues need to start doing is sending physical mail. A thousand forum threads are easy to ignore. A thousand letters hitting an in-tray are much harder to ignore.

 

All the good features that made the 360 popular have been removed in the Xbone.I dont understand the logic in this.I think they have lost touch with gamers.Instead of innovating they add more rumble to the controllers? lol Microsoft assumed we want to live
in a police state where everything is monitored .They took away the ability to play our own music just in case we downloaded illegally.They insist gamers have no right to ownership of both content and hardware.Bad mistake.

 

@LowOnHealth -- The problem with "innovation" is that gamers don't want it. Look at the pre-releases of these consoles, for example. Anything that was/is remotely different from what gamers are used to resulted in a bunch of whiny babies crying about change.
Every single one of these types of threads complains about things being different from what they are used to. The entire gaming "culture" is stuck in the mud. Games aren't ground-breaking as we get a bunch of sequels coming out every year.

Last year's E3 after the MS backlash, what did Sony do? They basically won over the gaming populace by saying they were going to release the exact same console as the PS3, only with more RAM and CPU power....and people went gaga for it! lol

 

Yes but Sony appealed to what gamers want-power.Not only computing power but the power to control their purchased content.

 

Sony-"Its your game.Play it how you want" Microsoft-"All your games are belong to us"

 

Gamers like innovation when it brings them a benefit.

For example they liked the idea of the Family Share. They did not however like the idea of having to report in every 24 hours like an offender on parole.

If the 24 hour check-in was so key to that family share innovation, why did Microsoft not come out and explain why that was the case. Nope they instead threw their dolly out of the pram.

Don't brand people are cry babies just because they are vocal in standing up against something they see as bad. Try being as vocal for your side of the discussion.

By simply complaining about people complaining, you become just as bad as those who you rally against.

 

Xbox 360 has been out for ages, plenty of time to work out the bugs it had at the start. Xbox One is a different system, attempting to deal with different problems and as mentioned has only been out 4 months. At least the hardware is not failing as much
as 360 was at launch.

Also to the person who said they can't see real difference between 360 and xb1 battlefield 4.......you crazy

 

Question. For the people who are complaining why do you think we are having updates back to back? To improve it.

 

Does innovation in gaming include making it more and more of a policy/practice to release things that are not ready or working properly, and have a bunch of people in the community accept that so readily? Seems like more and more for games, game systems,
etc. I constantly hear defenses of "it has only been out [time frame here]" when the idea of release was supposed to be "it's ready. We tested it, it works." Now it just seems to be "buy it now, and we'll fix it later." And then they want people to preorder
these things to pay full price for the product at its worst?

I guess I just don't understand the rationale behind it.

 

They are probably cutting corners in costs, instead of hiring more people to help with the workload . Seems to be common practice with todays industries.

[/quote]If someone is looking to give feedback to Microsoft, then they should give said feedback in the feedback sections of the forum. This is the discussions section, which the community primarily discusses things. MS does in fact read their forums.
To use an analogy, who would look for ribeye steaks (and a butcher for that matter) in the toilet paper section in a grocery store?
