Xbox one is running very slow and keeps crashing.

I would like to query if it hasn't already been asked. How much of your internal hard drive is used?

I have had many people with similar problems and was focused around their internal hard drive being too full. as the internal hard drive is used to store the operating system it slows down the processing power of the console itself. I've always had external
storage with my games on to stop my internal being full and have never experienced slowing down of my console.

Hi there,

if you have an external storage device connected, be sure to try and see what happens when that is disconnected.

If none is connected and you are (still) experiencing this issue, then you might want to try a Factory reset.

Keep in mind that a factory reset will result in needing to download the profile again (this will require the account credentials)

So I was hoping that the February Xbox One update would fix Skype but it still crashes on sign in no matter what.

I'm not super familiar with how minecraft runs on certain devices and such but I'd do some research into it and see how it runs on other iPhone 7's like if it's slow and laggy and others crash alot to maybe it's not very compatible with the specific model

This is an old thread but I had a breakthrough with the slow download speeds I was battling with since I connected my external hard drive, I seem to have fixed the issue. Before I got my new hard drive I could install digital games super fast, download
times were great, then after installing my new external drive, I couldnt download and install a 400 mb game in under an hour (used to be 2 min). After struggling with this for the past few days, it dawned on me, I rested my new external drive on the top left
hand corner of my Xbox one system, maybe that was interfering with the Internet connection to the Xbox one system itself. I moved the drive off of the system, to the side of the system and the download immediately sped up. Now after 10 min, I am 10% through
a 40 gb game download that took all night to get to 15% yesterday. It may be that most people who have an issue with the Xbox one downloading speed may have electronic devices too near the system, causing interference. It fixed my problem, so I hope this
message reaches others and helps them with their painful download speeds! And if this isn't news to anyone, I apologize, but I didn't find this answer anywhere else when I was searching.
