    Xbox one is only recording 8 second game clips


    This has been happening for a while, my Xbox will only record about 7 or 8 seconds in the game clips and I have 30 seconds selected, I’ve been getting pretty angry when I do something that I really want to save and view later but I can’t because the recording doesn’t work. Can anyone help

    Also please note that I deleted most of the clips I have saved on my account off of the cloud and the Xbox itself and that didn’t resolve the issue either.

    Hi Paaarm, I hope you're doing great out there. I am an Independent advisor and I am here to help you in regard to your concern.

    We will follow the steps on this link: https://support.xbox.com/en-US/help/games-apps/...

    "First please follow this:

    1. Press the Xbox button to open the guide.

    2. Select System > Settings > Preferences.

    3. Under Capture & share, please choose don't allow game captures

    Then we will powercycle:

    1. Turn off your console by holding the Xbox button on the front of the console for approximately 10 seconds. The console will turn off.

    2. Turn your console back on by pressing the Xbox button on the console or the Xbox button on your controller.

    Lastly, Allow the game captures again:

    1. Press the Xbox button to open the guide.

    2. Select System > Settings > Preferences.

    3. Under Capture & share, please choose allow game captures"

    Hi,

    So recently when I record a clip (30 seconds 1080p), it will usually record only the first 5-7 seconds of the clip. I am not low on my storage for clips or for my Xbox One X in general. I've been playing Gears 5 and want to record a highlight but its frustrating
    when only a few seconds record. I've reset my Xbox already, ideas?

    GameDVR stops recording.

    I noticed this as well. It not only does it in BF4 but in NBA2K14 too. Even saying "Xbox record that" will not save clips. Noticed Saturday that when i got promoted in BF4, generally 19 second auto record, that it didn't pop up "Game clip recorded" and tried
    manually recording in BF4 and NBA2K only to have niether one record. Sucks because it has worked just fine since day one and even cleared out a bunch of clips.

    Change it to 720p that fixed this issue for me the other day 😶

    Same issue. Got a xbox one X , ton of clips storage. Everytime i get a good clip for my page it record 5-8 seconds when i have it set to 45. Tried everything and contacted micosoft. They need to fix this
