    Xbox one is not recognizing my external hard drive anymore.


    It's not my device since it connects fine to my computer and it's not corrupt because because theres no error. I plug it into my xbox and the external hard drive does light up but the Xbox doesn't recognize it at all. please help

    Thanks for your reply! I did try that out, it does recognize other usb/external hard drives, so I'm thinking the problem is more with this particular hard drive that suddenly isn't being recognized anymore.

    I got an external hard drive for my Xbox One and installed everything on it, yesterday i turned off the Xbox while i was on a game and now my Xbox doesn't recognize the hard drive but when i connected it to my PC it is recognized.

    Perhaps your child's external hard drive is not working. Is your child's external hard drive recognized by the Xbox One? Does it turn on any lights?
