    Xbox one is making a weird clicking sound


    This has been going on for a while. Every few minutes my xbox one has made this weird clicking sound. I can't seem to find anybody else with this problem. If anybody help that would be awesome! Here is the sound:

    Yes. It's a pretty common concern, and I've been through 3 consoles with other significant issues that ALL have had some degree of audible hard drive seeking/clicking. What tends to fix it temporarily is to turn off/unplug the console completely, and then
    turn it back on. The console will be relatively silent until after a few hours of multiple games/apps and the audible click will return.

    The constant HD seeking is likely an issue with the OS or firmware that can be patched out, and likely not a hardware issue.

    hello all



    my XB1 keeps making a faint clicking sound when not playing games. like the HD is working to process something I notice this when watching TV. PS my TV is running throu my XB1.

    apart for launch hiccup's its running fine is anyone else getting this???

    Hey, Chaotic. Thanks for letting us know about your adapter. Your power adapter definitely shouldn't be making weird sounds. Do the sounds come back if you turn the console on again?

    The power adapter shouldn't be making any sort of humming/buzzing sound. It could mean that there's either some sort of issue with the power adapter or it's small fan inside.

    If that's the case, and this is starting to bother you, please get the power supply exchanged (if you have a warranty), or replaced (if you do not have a warranty any longer) by going
    here.
