    XBOX One Is Garbage

Has anyone else found the xbox one to be compete garbage ?

    Here is why.

Updates, they are endless and dont improve things.

Games, the games are all junk !

The Game disks are just "license keys" why does it download 10-20 GB after putting in a new game even when the game has openly just been released.

Unfortunately here in Australia we have mediocre internet connections why can't the game disk be the game disk, so to speak.... in other words... FINISH THE GAME BEFORE RELEASING IT !!! so i dont have to wait for 2+ days to play a new game !

What the hell is this "season pass" crap, if I buy a game give me the full game not part of the game or some radom percentage of it!

Also why some game or app "Taking too long to start "

Why does it take so long to start ?

So far the best use for an XBOX ONE seems to be .. connect it to the internet, install the blue ray up, disconnect it from the internet and you have an expensive blue ray/4k movie player.

Nintendo have it right, with the switch, you get a game thats on an"SD Card" and the game is ready, you put it in and wow it works within 5-15 seconds not 2+ Days!

    :)

    Xbox One is Garbage!

It might be different if Xbox actually had some decent exclusives, but they haven't even come close to competing with Sony or Nintendo for the best games over the last few years. That's one of the reasons I sold my Xbox One, there was just no point in keeping
it when I have a PS4 and a Switch. I tried it out for several months, but quite frankly there just wasn't anything special about it.

    Xbox One is Garbage!

He rant it doesn't come with built-in battery, to work wireless you need to put separately AA batteries or batterypack in!

And there are no new xbox-one exclusive games coming!

    XBOX One Is Garbage

    Ok.......here we go.

Updates, they are endless and dont improve things. (if you talking about game updates, that's developers and gamers faults. Developers for releasing buggy/unfinished games, gamers faults for wanting more content)

Games, the games are all junk ! (That's opinion, I personally think the Xbox has a great line-up of games)

The Game disks are just "license keys" why does it download 10-20 GB after putting in a new game even when the game has openly just been released (welcome to since forever, whatever format you "buy" the game in, Floppy Disk, CD, DVD, BLU-RAY etc it was only
a licence. Also again the updates are due to developers, not the consoles)

Unfortunately here in Australia we have mediocre internet connections why can't the game disk be the game disk, so to speak.... in other words... FINISH THE GAME BEFORE RELEASING IT !!! so i dont have to wait for 2+ days to play a new game ! (perhaps try
moving to a more civilised country that actually has good internet)

What the hell is this "season pass" crap, if I buy a game give me the full game not part of the game or some radom percentage of it! (surprisingly the cost of games there days isn't enough to actually cover the cost of making them, that's why most games
either have microtransactions, DLC or season passes.)

Also why some game or app "Taking too long to start " (don't know, possibly your internet is too slow?)

Nintendo have it right, with the switch, you get a game thats on an"SD Card" and the game is ready, you put it in and wow it works within 5-15 seconds not 2+ Days
(not true, I bought Disgaea 5 on my Switch and it also had an update)

Pretty much everything you mentioned is either down to game developers or your isp.

If I believed the X Box to be "Garbage", it would be taken back to the store or thrown away; never to be spoken of again. I bought a Nintendo Switch shortly after launch. Had it for seven days and realized it was not to my liking. Took it back to the store...
    end of story.

Here in Australia I have great internet, My Xb1 has over 150 games on it and hadn't been used for 6 months. Turned it on last week and downloaded 6 months of updates and installed COD WAW in no time. Yes the updates are larger than the competition but in
all honesty? I think your internet is probably flaky.

To answer your first question, No.

On to the rest, as a fellow Aussie with a net speed of 8.5 down and .9 up I have had zero issues with downloading all my games which are digital or the updates which by putting my game in instant on mode happens while I'm at work or asleep. I just turn it
on and it's ready to go. Still love my Xboxone 4 years later in fact it's better.

  10. I agree to a point that MS is responsible to push everything towards internet in a way - that everybody with just normal internet, thinking occational GB downloads, is left in vain.

No move of much stuff to usb, like 360 has - pushing everything to cloud or onedrive.

BC is requiring to download digitally full 360 games all over, even having disks.

I mean in many fields of commerce a seller is bound to inform what is required to use a product.

So MS should - Xbox system requirement - super duper internet, flatrate is needed to make full use of xbox one.

And many games require to be online even when playing single player.

Certain games also having online multiplayer/coop require Gold membership with annuals cost approx. $80.

Something like that, should be on every system requirement.

X1 was patiented as a. "Console" but when it comes to using it as a console, without at least initial access to the net, creation of an 'online account,' HUGE console and controller updates etc. It's essentially. A Brick.

With the net, updates etc, it will run games. But works far better as an app machine and serfing the web. lol, my PC is junk, but rather than buying a new one. I simply use the X1. No need for anti virus programs etc. Sure you can't Dl PDF files etc but
it does save you a tone of $ in that respect. So it's not entirely garbage. XBOX One Is Garbage ;)

Well many of you are probably assuming I have like a 1-2 MB link or something but my ADSL is only 1.2 km from the exchange with a 16-18 MB sync speed. The backhaul howeaver is not good, and the contention ratios are probably horrible., within a month I will
have NBN some FTTN 100 MB, probably a sync speed of 80-90 MB.

Howeaver a better link will not improve the fundamental flaws with the X-Box One, some of the issues are the console, and the rest of the issues are the game developers themselves...

The real question... is why can't Microsoft and Sony (as so many games are on both platforms) make some rules for developers regarding the quality of games, such as only allowing smaller updates when they are first released so that games ship with fewer
    bugs.

Also 12GB downloads are not a patch or hot fix they must be the entire game, or at least most of the game, does this mean the game isn't even on the disk at all? Or are the update management system / developers so poor or lazy respectively that the entire
game has to be re downloaded, just to change a few sections of code?

There is no reason to have to download so much!

Because as soon as Sony or MS starts laying down strict rules then said dev runs to the media complaining (whining) about restrictions to their artistic method. Media publishes slanted articles on the "corporate/draconian bootstomping". Gamers "lap up" said
articles and quickly point fingers to the bad corporate machinery as the purveyor of all the problems. Also, dev/pub blames long delays in anticipated game release dates on MS/Sony. Thus impatient gamers and media start pointing fingers of blame to restrictive
    corporate practices.

The real question is: why do gamers pre-order games? Thus rewarding pubs/devs with money in the bank regardless of game quality. Can't wait one week after release to read reviews on quality and performance of a game? Why do some games that require so much
patching still get so many gamers buying their games? Shouldn't poor game testing result in products so bad that nobody buys the game? If so many gamers are buying broken games, then your argument is with the gamers as well. Because the devs/pubs seem to have
the greenlight to patch often, so they will continue to do so.

As to the process of patching. I believe some of the methods are a download in temp memory>find and replace certain files. I noticed game sizes not changing much even though the patch is large. For example: game is 10 GB in size. Patch for it is 4 GB. When
the patching is done, game is now 10.8 GB. Thus, the patch may be adding some new content, but also might just be finding and replacing only certain existing files. Also, I believe some patches might be cumulative. For example: patch 1.01 is 5 GB, and six
months later patch 1.05 is 8 GB. If you have been offline for a while then you get the larger patch. And it is always the larger, more recent version.
