Xbox one is extremely SLOW

I can't tell you how frustrating this is. To be completely honest I haven't been impressed with the xbox one at all! For a console that claims to be 10 x more powerful than the 360, this takes the p%#s! Dashboard is so slow and unresponsive. Messages,
achievements, snap record feature... Etc. the list is endless. In fact it's so bad that I've actually retired to not playing my console as much anymore as it's very un-enjoyable. Needs a massive overhaul & juicy update to fix this agonising pain. Extremely
dissatisfied.

Xbox downloads Extremely slow

i bought Forza horizon 3 today and started installing it today and for whole the day it hasn't capped past 20 kb/s this is seriously bad ive been in numerous chats and none of them helped me ive reset my internet called my provider and done so many tips
that might fix it i really need help with this considering i have NBN and im downloading at this slow speed. Its on a 2.4ghz server by itself. ive uninstalled and re installed numerous times but no luck

Same thing happening to me. I'm on NBN also. Instead, my games are stuck in an update loop. Only thing that actually works is disconnecting the network and also clicking on "Go offline" in network settings. Then you should be able to reload your game
fully and play it (if you have the disc that is). As soon as you reconnect the network though, it'll get stuck in a mandatory update loop and will not let you start a game...

Also, my NBN is 90mbit Download & 50mbit upload. Still my games refuse to update at any rational speed... am getting sub-1mbit speeds and recuring "download stopped" notifications.

 

Hey there, do you have a specific issue you want help with? I agree that some things aren't as smooth as the 360 console, but it's improving and has been since release. In the April update they will actually address performance issues with the achievement
app and have heard overall performance seems to be improved.

Though, if you're at the point where you're having that bad of a time that you're not using it, the question does beg as to why not cut your losses and move on? I personally use my console every day and yes the UI does frustrate me at times, but not enough
to stop playing the games I love.

I always do a reboot when this happens which isn't often but I always do one after an update.

Always manually quit what ever you are doing when you have finished using them.

We are having problems right now in the preview program with lag with apps, hopefully they get it sorted soon when its running properly you cant beat it.

 

Mine freezes up all the time. Seems like system is always having problems. Home screen becomes unresponsive and have to reboot quite frequently. Sure miss the 360. It performed so much better. Never had issues like I do with the xboxone. Between freezing
and chat and stupid nat it is almost more trouble than it is worth to play a game. Nat is open and internet is just fine. It is a microsoft issue. Seems like there us always some kind of alert for a problem.

 

So is this a preview problem and I don't have to throw my xbox out of the window?

 

No mate its a problem a lot of people get, as far as the preview goes with the 1504 update more people are seeing this problem in the preview we get updates and fixes every 2 to 3 days, and that is passed on to you when the update goes public, so hang on
to your console.

 

Hey mr. GrowlingYapper, my xbox is still slow and I'm not able to load disc games at all some nights. Any idea when a fix will be available? If not how do I get rid of the stupid april update?

Synchrons the loading or failure to read disc seems to be going on for ever, that's why I went all digital I don't trust the disc drive.

I take it that you are in the preview program ,you would be better using the early access forums and report your problems using the report a problem, then you know for sure the guys who do the fixing get what they need, they also get logs which show what
was going on and help them sort it out.

Once you have the update you cannot remove it, I hope your problems are fixed soon so you can get to enjoy what your doing.
