    Xbox one is black screening, but it’s on the OS. How do I fix this?


    When I was booting up my Xbox one, I was trying to get it to boot up and head to the home menu to access a few things…

    However, when the startup animation did end, it gave me a black screen, but somehow, the software still allowed me to hold the Xbox button to restart, turn off and whatnot.

    I followed the instructions on how to fix the black screen problem, but it’s all leading to the same result of the same black screen with the same ending of me trying it again after waiting for 5 to 10 minutes.

    My key thing to ask is: How do I solve this problem of me not being able to access the home menu with the Xbox one on and somewhat functional?

    I've spotted your question and since it happened to me before, I'd like to share you some step that helped me when I had this problem. So the first thing we need to do is check and see if you can bring up the Xbox Startup Troubleshooter. Try doing this for me:

    Power off your console, and then unplug the power cord to ensure that the console is completely powered off. Wait 30 seconds, and then plug the power cord back in. Press and hold the SYNC button (located on the left side of the console) and the EJECT button (located on the front of the console), and then press the Xbox button on the console. Continue holding the SYNC and EJECT buttons for 10-15 seconds. Listen for two “power-up” tones a couple of seconds apart. You can release the SYNC and EJECT buttons after the second power-up tone.

    When the console powers up, you will see the Xbox Startup Troubleshooter, let me know if you see it okay?
