The Xbox One is the most hated console. Get over yourselves. You're always going to get people coming here and hating on it. Except I'm not hating on it, all my criticisms about it are based on my experiences. You all need to get over yourselves and stop
the stupid finger pointing. I don't need to make fake accounts to say that the X1 isn't exactly my favorite console right now.

 

DirectX12 isn't going to make the older games look or run any better. This is because those older games wont have been written for DX12, but rather an earlier version. Those older games will still require that older version be there.

Similar situation to the PC. Despite me running Dragon Age: Inquisition which uses DirectX 11, I still need to have Direct X 9c installed for Dragon Age: Origins.

You are likely to see some better looking games with DX12 but that also has the potential to drive up hardware requirements.

What you posted was the biggest load of cow waste I have ever read, sony have said exactly what they used. Tech professionals have agreed. Ps4 is off the shelf parts nothing special at all, the audio DSP uses CU too lol. Xbox shape audio saves the system
from using the equivalent of 2 cpu cores. The ieee breakdown proves the xbox is fully custom built, so can not be compared to any existing gfx cards.

How this plans out depends on the api, so we will have to wait and see. My suspicion is you will not be here in 12 months when the games do the talking as they already are doing.

Oh yes, nobody likes it. The Hundreds of hours I log onto it are full of me and my friends going on and on about how bad it is, how much money we wasted, and how the competition is like this beacon of light we can never buy because we are tainted and unworthy.

 

No @mgzin many others can just see past the marketing hype and look a little deeper in the tech design of the one and what it's capable of and are very secure in our purchase for our main console.

Anyway if there is some sort of "secret sauce" or not in the X1 I'll just keep on enjoying it regardless.
