xbox one internet connection

Cannot access anything online:

Box is about 3-4 years old. We have tested network connections on the unit & each time it states there is internet connection BUT we cannot connect to anything? Can't get microsoft edge, account stuff, fortnite etc

Have shut down modem, shut down xbox, signed out. Any suggestions?

Experiencing lag when playing?

What's your internet connection speed? Are other devices connected to the internet aside from Xbox? I guess the problem lies with the internet connection. Do a test at speedtest.net. In case the speed is okay try to see if the other devices are eating up your internet speed by turning them off and focus on Xbox One.

Hi, on the Xbox go to settings/ network/ network settings/ advanced settings/ alternate MAC address, select Clear and then select Restart.

2. are port forwading open on the router?

 

Hi All thanks for your help it turns out that our internet providers claims of full service being available was incorrect. Changing the wifi/modem has rectified the issue

 

Try to restart the router you are using. Maybe it is giving duplicate IP adress.
