    XBOX One Interfering with Email security certificate and more.


    Recently I purchased an Xbox One and connected it to my Wifi with no problems. Since then it has been wreaking havoc on my internet browsers. Basically I keep getting Secure connection Failed messages when trying to access Gmail and other sites on multiple
    devices. I know the Xbox is to blame because when I unplug it the problem corrects itself.

    I have contacted Xbox support, which had me delete my account, persistent data, and alternate mac address. Then a hard reset with no luck. They recommended I contact the ISP for router optimization but I own my router so they directed me to Motorola. Motorola
    had me do a hard reset on the router with no luck.

    I'm back to where I started with the same problem. One thing to note is when I spoke to the ISP they mentioned that they had heard of similar problems from customers with the same router who live in the same geographical location. They said it had been going
    on for the last 3 days (same time I got the console). Motorola apparently fixed issue already but I'm still experiencing it

    Any thoughts on the matter are more than welcome.

    IE for the 360 acting strange.

    Since last evening, i have been trying to use IE via the 360. Now, IE loads but when I go to Xbox Forums for example it gives me this message.

    "There is a problem with this websites security certificate. We recommend that you do not continue to this website. The security certificate presented by this website has errors, and should not be trusted. Security certificate problems may indicate an attempt
    to fool you or intercept any data you send to the server."

    This message is followed by. "Go Back To Safety" and "Continue Anyway." Both clickable yet leads directly to a white screen.

    Anyone else having this problem?

    PS: I have deleted and reinstalled IE, even went into setting and disabled cookies. But it's still the same.

    I don't know what browser it is im not that savvy when it comes to browser's etc I only recently got wifi and just plugged the ethnet cable to my xbox and just expected it to work instantly i haven't been on the Xbox for ages but last time I tried
    im sure I actually got as far as Xbox live and could get some of the parts like search engine but now when I try to login xbox live it comes up problem with security certificate so i click continue anyway but it just seems to crash please someone HELP 😔

    I am having the same problem. And it is with almost every website I try to visit. If I click "Continue Anyway" it sometimes shuts down the browser, and other times redirects me to the XBOX website. It never allows me to continue anyway. So you can't just
    ignore it. And it also happens on the HTTP versions of the sites- not just the HTTPS versions. It seems like there must be something that can be done about it, or it would be happening on everyone's XBOX 360.

    It might be that the Xbox 360 browser doesn't have an up to date root certificate library, and that some pages use a digital certificate that is unknown to the Xbox 360. Or it might be that you are trying to go to a site with a self signed certificate (e.g.
    a smart home device in your own network).

    There is unfortunately nothing you can do about that, as you can't add anything to the Xbox 360's certificate storage.

    Depending on what page you are surfing to, you could try to visit the page via unencrypted http instead of https, or if you REALLY trust the page and don't have to transmit personal information like credit card data or passwords, you can ignore the warning.
