Xbox One Install time problem.

I got my Xbox a few days on Friday. Since then I've brought two games digitally, and one physically. Each game took me around 12 hours to install. Today I popped in Destiny to install at 2 pm, its now 4 hours later, and its only at 52% done. WTF Microsoft.
is everyone having this problem or is it just me? Also, idk about you guys, but ever since I took this console of the box its just been a string of disappointments and problems, if not for the games I've already brought, I would have taken this back to store
already.

What are your experiences so far?

Game Installation By Disc Fixed On Xbox One?

Never had a problem with install times. Took about the same amount of time to install a game and play it on my PS4 as it did on my Xbox One.

Disc copies will install faster offline.

Disconnect from the internet, install the game. Then connect to the internet and install the updates.

The reason that it takes longer to install when you're online is because the ONE starts multi tasking and splitting resources between installing the game and downloading the updates at the same time.

 

As for the downloadable games, this really depends on your bandwidth and net download speed. As for the Destiny installation, Try hard-restarting the console and starting the install again with the xbox one always on

 

If the console is connected to Xbox LIVE when you install a new game, it will check and see if there are any updates for the game and download those at the same time.

Depending on the speed of your connection this may take a long time if it is downloading a few Gb of data. You can disconnect from Xbox LIVE and try installing again which should be much faster.

Similar problem, I install the games from disc (so far Alien Isolation and GTA V) and they install fine, then when I launch them, they both go to a "... needs an update.", then it spins for a couple of minutes and gives me an error. Both games could be played
if I shut down the internet connection, but this seems a little silly to have to do. I've cold restarted the Xbox, cleared the Persistent Cache from Blu-Ray, etc. and nothing seems to work. This is a new problem (wasn't happening several weeks ago). any thoughts?
