Xbox One Infrared Receiver Weak?

Just wondering if anyone out there is experiencing the same thing as I am with my Xbox One. I find that the infrared receiver is quite weak when using any of my harmony remotes with it. I have to deliberately point the remote to the console for it to actually
recognize a command. My xbox 360 was definitely not like this and I've tried both a harmony one and a harmony ultimate. Wondering if my IR receiver is defective or this is normal with the Xbox One. Thanks.

I just realised the answer is NO... as the Microsoft Xbox 360™ Wireless Gaming Receiver for windows uses 2.4 GHz radio technology whereas the Xbox 360 Media Remote control control uses Infrared technology....

Now does anyone know a compatible Infrared Receiver for Windows compatible with with Xbox 360 Media Remote control ?

X box one controllers

I wish to plash my xbox one in a media control hub connected to a unit that sends and receives to multiple rooms. I have all the kit but need to know if the controllers send signals to the xbox via infrared or bluetooth?

I have infrared receivers in each room that are connected to CAT6 cable which in turn goes to a media hub that distributes all my media inputs (sky, dvd, xbox console).

Will the controllers work in different rooms sending signals via infrared to the xbox located in a downstairs cupboard ?

Has anybody experience of this - any problems or ideas ? maybe it will all be fine - appreciate any thoughts please.
