Xbox one incorrect resolution for tv invalid format

Hi, my son has set the resolution on xbox one by accident to 1440 which means this is an invalid format for tv.

Without the ability to see the setting (no tv) i am unable to change it back.

I have checked previous threads in how to reset using start buttin and eject but nothing seems to work. Have also changed settings on tv to auto correct but again hasnt worked. Any help on how to reset without a screen would be massively appreciated. Otherwise

Thank you for posting here on the Xbox forums. So the
Start button + eject button troubleshooting step only works if you perform this step after having your console unplugged for about a minute. Did you perform that step after power cycling your console?

Another step you can try is resetting the console to factory defaults. I'm not sure if the screen will still populate, but I recommend trying it to troubleshoot. To get to the Troubleshoot screen, you need to first power cycle your console like stated above.
Afterwards, you press and hold the power button and the Controller sync button simultaneously until the console powers on. From that screen, you have the option to reset the console. I recommend choosing the option that says "Reset and keep my games and apps"
so that you don't have to redownload everything.

You will however have to re-sign into your accounts, so make sure you know the email and password before continuing.

Fyi invalid format usually means a resolution problem

Set your XBOX One S to 1080p and not 4K, it should work fine.

The XB is attempting to scale the image up to 4K, which makes it an invalid format.

To set your resolution to a lower resolution but switch to 4K when 4K content is played:

Open the guide and go to Settings > All settings > Display & sound > Video output and then make sure TV resolution is set to 720p or 1080p.
Select Advanced video settings and make sure Allow 4K is checked.

This happens to me every single day I am using the lg g1. I have tried many ways to fix this issue. I refuse to drop my refresh rate down to 60hz to compensate for a massive company’s inability to fix the issue or even address it. Also not a single YouTuber has covered this issue. What is the problem? Is it the Xbox itself or simply a communication error between the Xbox and the tv itself. I don’t know but I’m sure I would if Microsoft could address it. I think it’s **** that I spent 2k on a tv and another 500 on a console but it just so happens that this console is actually worse than the Xbox one because at least that could allow me to stream a show for an hour without a problem occurring. No instead the only fix is to purchase a PS5 and hope Sony doesn’t have the same goddamn issue which if they did I’m sure it would be ignored like this one.
