Xbox One incompatible with Standard Cable.

Well, what a disappointment. This thing gets hyped up as an all entertainment media box. Turns out it's just a box to make sure the cable companies keep you subscribing. I only pay for the standard 1-100 cable channels because I don't need to see Snooki
punched in the face or Kim Kardashian's disgusting hobbit body. So of course when I ask Kinect to go to CBS it decides to pick a channel in the 1000 range rather than 1-100. I even added these as my favorites still no luck. What moron decided to make the
TV guide options "HD only, HD & SD, and Hide SD"???

Seriously you should have given some warning when hyping that TV feature that you'd have to pay a ton of cash for the fanciest digital package. As of now, it's 100% useless to me. Along with so many other Xbox One features. I really hope your update fixed
alot of this crap. I had to deal with Sony support for the PS4 I thought that was bad. You people are the worst I have ever dealt with in my life.

Same issue no filter options allows for using SD channels

I have the same issue although cant find a way to even hook my standard comcast cable box cause it has no hdmi output- What convertor can I use so I can actually send a signal? component to hdmi

By the way xbox support are [Mod Removed - please no insults or foul language]!!! sent 61 minutes on hold to speak with tech and she couldnt help with anything!!!

There are component to HDMI converters available such as this that would probably work,

www.bestbuy.com/.../searchpage.jsp but to be honest you would be better off getting a set top box with HDMI out. HDMI is a technology that is 12yrs old now and most new TV devices these days now require it.

What is the model of this HDMI switch you are using? There seems to be some sort of incompatibility or fault with the HDMI switch you are using.

Common problems for putting the Xbox behind an HDMI device usually involve the switch not being HDCP-compliant, or it only supports up to an outdated HDCP standard. Ideally, it should be HDCP 2.2 compliant.

Another possible problem would be using older HDMI cables on either end of the switch. The oldest kind of HDMI cable can only support up to 1080i or 720p (Xbox One supports only the latter). You will want a cable that makes any mention of the term "High
Speed", usually printed along the cable itself.
