    Xbox One In-Game Chat


    While playing PvZ: Garden Warfare, I see in-game mic icons indicating people are talking but i cant hear them through tV or mic. When i plug in my mic it indicates i have a mic but when i still cant hear anyone and when i talk into it (unmuted) it doesnt
    show im talking. When i enable chat for kinect and talk it shows im talking but i still cant hear people through my tV. I did not mute anyone ingame and my privacy settings are set to adult, whats going on? is there any settings somewhere i can disable/enable
    to fix this?

    Xbox One In-Game Chat

    I have the exactly same problem when playing PvZ. Chat was working two days ago and now it's not. I see people's icons showings they are talking and even my own, but I don't hear anyone's voices on my Xbox headset. Very frustrating.

    I've noticed it on PvZ because it's the only game I've been playing in the last 3 days. I'm on the beta preview. Are you guys on it too?

    No not playing PvZ.

    I did my XO1-update yesterday, including my controller but still have no sound although I see the Mic symbol working all the time. Hope this is a software issue and I'm not forced to buy a new headset..

    Can someone with an XBOX one still communicate and have parties with people who have XBox One S and XBox One X

    We have two consoles in the house - an Xbox One X and an Xbox One S in the kids room. I have no trouble chatting with them (either via game chat or party chat)

    Chat headset page    , Once you've connected your Xbox One Chat Headset to your Xbox One Wireless Controller, you're ready to use it for in-game and party chat. So in short no, it will only allow chat not game audio. Hope this helps!
