Xbox One in Console Keyboard

There was an update today that made it harder for me to use the keyboard and its very difficult to explain, its not that there’s really anything thats not working right so 1thing i don’t really like because of how hard is for to use personally is Caps
Lock, in order for me to explain this thing let me go back to the way it was before the update, before the update all you had to do in order to turn on caps lock was just push the left Thumbstick once and if you wanted to get out of it then you just press
it again and every letter stayed capitalized and the symbols changed like the ?changing to a! And every other symbol changed and when you had caps lock the ! Would stay a ! Until you changed it back, now in order to enable caps locks is press the left thumb
stick twice, and only the letters stay capitalized and the symbols don’t change and stay what they are for again example ? Changing to a ! And everything else, they don’t stay like that when you enable caps lock and you can only type in 1! With Caps, then
it just immediately changes back to a ? There’s no keeping the ! that way you have to keep changing it over and over again in order to type in a bunch of ! Like this!!!!!!!! That was just an example don’t take it personal I’m not mad i was just demonstrating,
so to conclude i liked everything the way it was before not the way it is now not because i hate it or anything just because its so hard for me to adjust to, you know sometimes people have a hard time sorr im unable to reach the area below so please ignore

Can I use smartglass as a keyboard?

Yes you can use SmartGlass as keyboard. Open keyboard on your Xbox One console, and it also opens keyboard automatically in SmartGlass. When I need to type something, I always use SmartGlass.

 

Keyboard and mouse

So I'm getting an Xbox One and I want to know if the console supports keyboard and mouse. Also, if it does, will it support a keyboard that uses 2 USB ports?

I believe I understand the issue you are bringing to our attention. I just tested this on a couple of consoles here and noticed the same issue. I recommend reporting this on the insider hub to make sure the right eyes see this issue first hand.

1. On your console, install the
   Xbox Insider Hub app (if you don’t already have it).
   
2. Hold down the Xbox button on the controller.
3. On the power menu, select Report a problem.
4. Describe the problem in detail, including when it happened, if you saw any specific error codes or messages, and if you were using any specific games, software, hardware, or accessories when you encountered the problem.
