xbox one in a locker

Hello,

I have my xbox one in a locker ,behind the wall where my TV is.

The problem is that I have a lot of disconnection with my controller.

is there a possible solution with an IR extension cable ?

Hi Cruz! I'm sorry to say there isn't a way to password protect the entire xbox, it will automaticall go to the dashboard at startup, allowing users to attach their own profiles or play offline as a guest. You CAN set a passkey to prevent your own account
from being signed in and used, and I'll provide those links for you, but I don't suspect that's exactly what you want. Sorry about that!

Create a passkey:

Require a passkey for purchases:
support.xbox.com/.../passkey-purchases (This is the same location where you can set your sign-in preferences to require the passkey.)

I'm telling you, just get past the first hour, and then you'll get hooked. I know some people don't like the story heavy stuff, but you're not gonna be tossed into "full gun load out" first thing, the first chapter is kind of unique into itself, but it digs its teeth into you that when you do chapter 2 you'll be hooked. Once you have all the guns and filled up on ammo it is just as good as Resident Evil to me.


The biggest note is there are keys to lockers that have money/bullets/health in them, which you can access on and off through game, keep an eye out for them. And a neat tip, save before opening a locker, cause if you have a ton of handgun bullets and its just handgun ammo in locker, you can reload over and over trying to get other ammo, or even two keys. I was so precise, I ended up leaving like 20 lockers open filled with ammo I never touched.

There is something else, the lockers will give you more than a full magazine or whatever, and the locker will fill you all the way up, you don't get to choose how many you take. If your chamber has 10 empty, but you only want to fill 5, if you grab the ammo it will do all 10. You don't want to fill your ammo to max everytime, cause good stuff does drop.

The best method when having 2 lockers with same ammo, is if you want like an Ice arrow, but only 3, and have a locker with 3 and one with 5, take it from the one with 5, leaving you a locker with 2 and another with 3. Later on and you're empty, you have the option to just add 2 or 3. But had you taken the locker with just 3 to begin with, you would now only have the option for 5, filling you top, and then if you go and run around and find a box of 3 while fighting, that is arrows you could have left in the locker, see what I mean?

IR extender extension\repeater won't do you any good with a controller which uses it's own wireless radio signal. If your controller is disconnecting either the signal is having to pass through to much material, interference from other devices is the issue,
or both.

You say you have it in a locker so I'm wondering is it a metal locker? If so that is more that likely the problem. Best setup would be as little material between the controller and console with line of sight being the most optimal.

I did have issues with my Day one controller having connection issues even with line of sight and had to replace it through warranty. Since then I bought a second controller with the 3.5mm headphone port and the Elite controller and never had the issue with
any controller since. One other thing that might help is making sure the firmware on the controller is updated.
