Xbox One: How to connect Xbox one to display port monitor?

I've just purchased a new Nvidia G-Sync Monitor in hopes that i could play my Xbox One on it however the monitor only has 1 display port connection. Is there anyway to connect my Xbox One to the monitor without spending too much money?

That's how you connect an xbox to a tv... am i missing something, how do you normally connect your xbox to the tv?

Make sure your hdmi cable is connected to the OUT port on the xbox one (next to power) and to an IN port on your tv's HDMI port.

You need an "HDMI to Displayport" adaptor. (Yes, this is a new port literally called "Displayport") I'm seeing them for under $10 in a quick google search.

 

The adaptor is the way to go. If you need one I have about 100 of them at home. I went to help out someone with there network and they had box after box of cables. They let me take them since you can never have too many. Yet! I have too many?

 

I know this is an old thread, just bought an xbone and my samsung monitor has a DPI and 1 hdmi. I have a ps4 aswel, ive seen hdmi cables online with a DPI the other end. Do these just work like a standard hdmi cable with the xbone? Any setting changes required?

why not just get an hdmi splitter so you can have both plugged in via hdmi

 

i do have a hdmi splitter lol but its another box on the shelf.

i bought A HDMI - DPI cable but the monitor doesn't detect an input. the cable has hdmi 1 side and a DPI the other side, i figured that would just work but the supplier said the HDMI is supposed to be the Input. tbh, I'm not using the ps4 much at the mo
with just getting the xbox1 so i'll just swap leads behind monitor for now

You need an DP to HDMI active adapter, an normal adapter won't work.
