Xbox One how long until majority of people have made the switch?

Hopefully soon. As I have said in prior threads, this is both good and bad. It is good because the Xbox 360 has longevity, and a bunch of classic games and great deals and services. And continued support which is GREAT! However, the bad is... This is
a console "War", and the competition has a big bark. And they are the undisputed winner of last generation's biggest revenue loss with over a billion dollars in loss from 2006 to 2014 (PS3). As well as sitting 3rd in console sales (although the 360 and PS3
are still being sold). As I was saying, right now they have the lead and they are letting it be known, though they can not compete when it comes to exclusives, the XB1 has more games per consoles owned. I hope the Xbox Community bands together and supports
the Xbox team and buys an Xbox One. As it is truly amazing in my opinion and as a Kinect skeptic it shocked me how awesome and fluid it makes the Xbox One experience, and it is only going to get better. Especially considering Xbox's cloud services are far
superior.

I no longer enjoy Cod

This is how I started feeling 2 years ago... how long until the majority of the CoD fanbase realise that their CoD series basically hasn't changed from #4?

I never heard of MLG or any of this nonsense until I joined the Xbox community. It's fine for some people but I just hate how the majority of people who get involved with it develop this huge ego, much like the OP.

 

Holiday this year hopefully we see a surge in sales.

 

I wish it would be soon last gen only holds next gen back graphically speaking.

 

The One problem I always have the the Xbox 360 is how many bugs it has had over the years and of course bugs are patched and all that but it was frustrating and still is. I rarely have any problems with the Xbox One because it is a console made to last the
360 unfortunately was not made to last as long and also another thing to note in games now is micro transactions. Now in my opinion these ruin the game and waste your money. They are overdone and generally the company's have enough money anyways they just
like to buy people in. DLC is fine but micro translations!? Please no! Just stop! We don't want them.

 

It will take a while. The Xbox 360 has a huge install base. Even though new consoles are selling better than previous gens, it will take a few years before they pass the active user install base

 

You can bet this xmas will see a ton of people make the switch. For the majority though, maybe when they stop making the 360 and 360 game production slows right down.

 

The Xbox Team has already said they were going to support the 360 for as long as it is needed. And the way I took it was soon as the competition is up and going so will the 360. So, I think it will be supported for at least another 3 years. 7th Gen war
is not over. And MS is committed to it. And the 8th Gen War just begun.

 

Hello everyone

My prediction is that we will see a moderate rise in Xbox One users by the end of 2014.

But, the biggest wave of people upgrading to the Xbox One is going to be in the Fall of 2015 because a lot of games will be available by then (thus, I wouldn't be surprised to see people pick-up the Xbox One with an extra controller & at least 3 games).

I would say sometime mid-late next year, when people save up, see more deals, or have a bit more interest in upgrading to the X1.

 

For me, MAYBE around Christmas. I really don't know. The day that I'm no longer interested in my 360 anymore and I have no idea when that will be. If I bought the X1 right now, I would have no idea what game to buy as none of them seem compelling to me.

 

omg Mantis...we might not get along...but I have to tell you....there are so many "next gen" games that are awesome.

You're missing out...whether you buy a X1 or PS4....hurry...next gen is awesome.

 

I'll make the switch when a game comes around that I give a crap about. Possibly Fallout 4. But just like Wolfenstein, Watch Dogs, Theif, Titanfall, Destiny, and every other game released on the ONE so far, if Fallout 4 is released on the 360, I'll buy it
there. I'm not dropping $500 dollars on a graphical upgrade. If I wanted to do that, I'd just buy a PC.

 

I am waiting for a few games to come out that I am remotely interested in, and when I do I'm afraid my console of choice will anger many people who post on Xbox.com.
