Xbox One Home Screen

It doesnt seem to matter what I do on my xbox one; it will eventually kick me out of whatever it is I am doing and take me to the home page. Regardless if ive saved or not my last saves didnt get saved. Also when I am in a ranled match for gears of war this
is horrible because I then get penalized for "leaving" the game when clearly i did not. For whatever reason the darn thing just quits and exits everything and goes to the home screen as if i pushed the middle button and exited but i didnt... So.... Am i needing
a new update or should i be saving up for a new xbox...??

Ps4 or Xbox One Startup Animation

I never see that screen on the xbox one. I say Xbox On and by the time my TV comes on I'm at the home screen usually saying Xbox Watch Tv.
