Xbox One Home No Xbox Live Content

On Xbox One Home I have no social feed, no advertisements, and nothing on shows up on the store page unless i click browse all games. It's basically like I'm not connected to live, but I am.

If you log onto your sons console and set this as your home console, then any person can use the content downloaded onto it. This also applies to Xbox live, only you will need to purchase it and then any user on the home console has access.

Only you will have access to the content on your console, and it can't be used to play Downloaded content when offline.

The digital process would work very similar to what you are already doing except on the Xbox One you designate a Home Xbox. The "Home" Xbox allows ANYONE on the console to enjoy the benefits of your gold subscription as well as the content on that Xbox.
So for your particular case, you were treating your brother's console as your "Home" Xbox When you sign into live on your Xbox you have access to your content but only your profile. Your brother would have access to your content as well on your other Xbox
designated as the "Home" Xbox.

Sorry to hear it. There was an issue with Live last night that was causing it. If this is still happening for you when you read this message please try power cycling the console by holding the power button on it for 10 seconds until it shuts down.
