Xbox One home button not working?

Good morning all, I've recently encountered an error where if I tap the home button on my Xbox One controller, the new home screen doesn't swipe in from the left (i.e., to record clips, check achievements, etc). The game screen will dim and I can hear the
whoosh but the home screen doesn't swipe in and I'm actually still able to navigate within the game. Anybody seen anything like this? Thanks.

There are many of these reports, several on the support line. My Xbox is practically broken because of it.

I have this problem too. When I play a game, I can't go back to the Xbox home screen. I have to power off and then restart. WTF????

Was having the same problem. Hard rebooting the console solved it for me.

Thank you for responding! I knew I was forgetting something when I made the list of things I've already tried! Yes, and every time I factory reset.
