Xbox one controller home button not working

my xbox one controller home button isn't working, it isn't taking me home, nor can I shut the Xbox down. I can turn on the controller with the button so I know the button itself isn't broken. I have tried to fully shut down my xbox and turn it back on, but
that didn't work either, it was working fine a while ago. Help me please, thanks.

    Xbox one x controller

2 days old and the Xbox x console is broken.

Controller locks up and I can only press the Xbox home button, nothing else works. Up, down, left , right any button simply does not respond - just the xbox home button

To fix I have to power off the console and back on again

This only seems to happen in Xbox home screen, gameplay is fine.

Any suggestions - send back to Microsoft ?

    Xbox one home button broke!?!?!

You said you tried a couple of things but you didn't say what. First, Make sure your controller is fully updated, disconnect the controller from the console and remove the batteries. Do a hard reset on the console (leaving the batteries out of the controller).
Hold the power button on the console for 10 seconds or until the power shuts down completely. Unplug the power cord from the back of the console for 5 minutes. Plug the power cord back in and restart the console. Put new batteries in the controller and
    test for results.

FYI, just because your controller will do some things correctly doesn't necessarily mean that it is not faulty.

    Let us know. Good Luck!

Xbox 360 controller - Right trigger commands berak frequently

No. The first 2 controllers bought when I bought the Xbox 360 and the same thing happened, in the Right trigger, the interal plastic broke and one even broke the button ... this "new" still do not have one year and already is getting equal (not yet broke
the button but already feel the play is going the same way) ... or i change the way you play (which is difficult because it is a shooting game) or even have to buy another!

Xbox One Controller Left Button Broke

The warranty period is for manufacturing defects not physical damage and it is 90 days. The only real option that you have is to replace the controller. Good Luck!

sounds wont go through my mic

So if youve tested it on both pc and xbox and it doesnt work, but other ones do, the only things i can think of are either the mute button Has either got stuck or has broke, or the mic itself has broke.

    What headset is it?
