Xbox one high piched sound coming from Xbox

Yes I have tried to set it to 720 and 480, still no sound.

if using hdmi, did you try removing the hdmi cable blowing on it and then plugging it back into the 360. i know on my 360 at times the sound will go out then come back after a min or 2. if i unplug it and plug it back in, the sound comes back right away.
I have tried 3 different cables and this happens with all of them.

If you are using HDMI, have you tried dropping the resolution to 720p or less? Worked on mine but I also have another issue with mine Hope this helps.

So after digging really deep, I found out that the Display Discovery feature that you guys have implemented into the Xbox is to blame. It, for whatever reason, switched my display over to DVI instead of HDMI. DVI cannot relay sound, so that's why I didn't
hear anything. After turning off display discovery, I just needed to go back into display settings and change my resolution back to 1080p. Microsoft, please look into this issue. A few other people I have talked to have had the same problem, so while its not
a big issue, it is definitely worth looking into for the next system update.

Is it kind of like a chirp? If so it's most likely a bearing in the fan. Any kind of high pitch noise like that is generally a fan bearing.

Be sure to check weather it's coming from the console, Kinect or the power brick as the all have a fan in them.

Sometimes it will eventually go away by itself, it did on my PSU. Or you can send it in for repair. Log onto devicesupport.microsoft.com to arrange a repair.
