    So I'm a noob and have no idea what Xbox One is like, I'm buying it but I read somewhere that my game progress doesn't move from Xbox 360 to Xbox One, so Is that true and also does my profile move because those are the only two things I care about.

    Xbox One help

    You can use your profile on the One no problem. But the One is not backwards compatible so you will not be able to play 360 games on the One.

    Game saves don't carry over because Xbox 360 games are not playable on Xbox One. Some online progress carries over between 360 and One with games such as CoD Ghosts, BF4 and Destiny but single player saves are not transferable.

    You can keep your current profile on your Xbox One. All you need to do is recover the profile using the email and password linked to that account.

    If you select store from the dashboard then select Browse all games the option to use a code is on the top right of the page.

    Use xbox accessories app, troubleshoot your controller,

    If your controller is still in warranty and troubleshooting hasnt worked, i would put in a ticket with Support for a repair.

    If its out of warranty unfortunately its likely to be buying a new controller.
