Xbox One help needed

Discus and support Xbox One help needed in XBoX on Consoles to solve the problem; I just got a refurbished Xbox one, and it was going good until now.   1. Xbox One help needed


    I just got a refurbished Xbox one, and it was going good until now. I'm convinced it's the controller, but I'm here to see if that's true. Pretty much my issue is, that my headset will cut in and out. Before anyone says "it's the headset" I know it's not,
    because I have a pair of ear buds that work some times and not others, just like my headset. I'm not sure how well I can word this, but I'll try. When you're on the dashboard, and you go to the side options by pressing left on the d-pad, and go all the way
    down to the gear for "settings." Well there's supposed to be a few sliders that can adjust some voice/game volumes. Well, they disappear. They ONLY disappear whenever my mic isn't working. I'm not sure what I can do to fix this. Would I have to replace my
    controller?

    Hi

    Firstly when your headset is plugged just try wiggling it near where you plug it into the controller to see if it cuts out, if it does cut out try plugging the headset in and out a few times just in case there may be may be dust or something affecting the
    connection.

    Other than that it does sound like it may possibly be a controller issue but the best way to confirm this would be if you have access to a second controller such as a friends one that you could try to see if you still get the same occuring.

    - It's the first thing the repair center is going to check. If they have any reason to believe it's been tampered it will be void of any repair options. They won't touch it

    You can try a power cycle, unplug the Xbox and let it sit for 5 minutes.

    Make sure nothing else is plugged into the usb ports and try and turn it back on after the 5 minutes making sure it's plugged directly into a wall outlet and not a power strip.

    thats why i havnt gone down the repair route but it just seems odd to me as it only **** up after the update ive spoke to acouple people who had the same issue but they sent theirs to microsoft for repairs 2 of those 3 was sent back a diffrent console lol.
    i did try a power reset will try it again its my second xbox to brake the first dont even power
