Xbox One Heat Issue

I noticed yesterday my xbox one is hot to the touch on top right where the fan is and my system has not even been on in a few days. I am concerned about whether or not this is normal. I do not see why it would get so hot with the system off. Anyone else
have this issue?

Heat issue?

The case definitely could have caused the heat buildup. Make sure that grill is not covered and the Xbox has room for air to circulate around it. I actually installed a fan in the back of the enclosed shelving unit the Xbox sits in to ensure it had an ample supply of cool air around it.

I haven't noticed any heat issues on my console. Well you can try calling them but in case they don't have any solution you can try placing it on top of a laptop cooler that way it will have a fan of it's own. But I guess the case was the cause of the issue.

Is your console in instant on mode? If it is, it might occasionally download patches, which would cause some heat to be there. Now, it shouldn't be hot to the touch, though, more so a little warm. Is the Xbox One situated in a place where it has some breathing
room?

It is on top of my desk completely in the open. It was in instant on mode also. It felt hot enough to me to be concerned about it. I will be putting it back into energy saving mode after the patch tomorrow because I don't see any reason even if it was downloading
a patch that it would feel hot to the touch above the fan.

Thanks for the reply, No, I'm using an Xbox One, and the Popup issue doesn't happen with any other game. Could this be a heating issue with the xbox that cause over heating which in turn cause damage to the disc? How can i begin to prove/disprove this hypothesis.
