Four teenage boys and three XBox Consoles (2 XBox ones and a 360). The consoles and controllers have stood up pretty well but the XBox One headsets could send us insane. We usually have four (two for each XBox One) but we're up to our sixth replacement.
Microsoft are great replacing these under warranty but arguments in-between replacements would be solved by a more rugged build. Considering the market these should be more rugged. All of our issues appear to be related to internal wiring coming loose,
usually mic is lost but on a couple it has been both the mic and speaker. Please comment if you have had similar issues or would like to see the current headset upgraded (ruggedised).

    :)

    Disable on/off button

Try to keep your console out of your child's reach

This is one of those times when child proof glass doors come in handy

@D33dles. And when did it work in yesterday's society? I would hate to be a child on today's society. Unlike my generation, everything is supposed to be child proof.

    Hello,

    How to add proofs

    • Go to Manage your security info and sign in with your Microsoft account.
    • Select Add New under Phone number or under Alternate email address.
    • Follow the instructions to set up and confirm the new proof.
    • If you already have a proof on your account, you might need to use that proof to verify the addition of a new proof.
Note Proofs can be added to new accounts without validation for a short period. Existing accounts will need to have their proofs validated by using an existing proof.
    • If you’re unable to access any of your current proofs (such as a phone number you don’t recognize or an expired email account), see Get help with
      your Microsoft account security proofs

Promote a child account to an adult account in Xbox

Xbox LIVE determines whether an account is a child account or an adult account based on the age of the account owner. Account owners who are younger than 18 are given child accounts in the United States. The legal adult age varies by country and region (for
example, the adult age in Korea is 20).

Child accounts are tied to an adult's Windows Live ID. The adult account can control Family Settings and restrict some features of Xbox LIVE.

After you reach the age of adulthood (which varies by country and region), you can promote a child account to an adult account. This promotion removes the Family Settings and Xbox LIVE restrictions.

To promote a child account to an adult account

    • Sign in to Xbox LIVE by using the account that you want to change.
    • Go to Settings, and then select Account.
    • Select Promote Child Account.
Note This option is available only if the date of birth for the account indicates that you have reached the age of adulthood (18 in the United States). The legal adult age varies by country and region. The age of an account owner is calculated by
using the date of birth provided when the account was created. This date cannot be changed. If you entered an incorrect date of birth when you created the account, your only option is to create a new account using the correct date of birth.
    • Follow the on-screen instructions to promote the account.

Issue With Headset On Xbox One

    Hey there SkyBlue Heroes,

Thanks for reaching out here in Xbox Forums. I understand there is an issue with connecting a Turtle Beach headset to the Xbox Console.

    Hi,

Thanks for all that. The headset is compatible and shouldn't have any issues. The controllers (tried 4) are all working and updated. I think the issue is with my sons child account (albeit it worked before) or local xBox settings.
