    Xbox One Headset won't plug in to controller.


    Just bought my Xbox One bundle on Friday 11/21/14. Tried to test the wireless headset and the headset adapter will not push in to the controller. Feels like something is blocking it from pushing in. Even with a little force it will not push in. Anyone seen
    a similar issue? What did you end up doing?

    My controller and headset I got brand new that came with my Xbox One won't connect. What I mean is that the plug for the headset won't plug in to the controller to physically connect. I tried for about an hour before giving up. So my question is what can
    I do to resolve this?

    Xbox one will not power with updated controller with MS Stereo headset plugged in. Once I disconnect MS Stereo headset and adapter it powers on syncs just fine. Then I plug in the headset and adapter everything works. But if i power off controller or xbox
    one it won't sync with the headset and adapter plugged in. Ive updated controller. It works fine with old chat headset. It works fine plugged in usb.

    Headset or controller problems.

    I have exactly the same problem, working fine through 3.5mm headset jack on controller, next day no sound at all through controller, only through tv. Controllers won't recognise headset plugged in. I have two controller and both the same. Headset ok on other
    devices and worked fine on xbox one s prior. Just randomly stooped recognising headset plugged in.

    Have followed all trouble shooting recommendations and no joy.

    Having problems with my wireless headset.

    Troubleshooting doesn't help. Headset connects to port one and as soon as I plug in my wired controller, the controller connects to port 2 and they won't sync together.

    Problem with my wireless mic, maybe Kinect related?

    Do you have another controller you can try.

    If the wired plug inside the controller is 'shorted' or thinks a wired headset is present it won't allow for the wireless one to take its' spot.

    Headset problem

    Try the following:

    • Turn the volume down on your TV or stereo.
    • Disconnect the headset, and then reconnect it firmly to the controller's expansion port.

      Note Never pull on the headset cable when removing it from your controller. Remove your headset from your controller by pulling on the body of the headset plug.
    • Clean the plug on the headset cable with a clean cloth, and then reconnect the headset to the controller.
    • Test the headset by connecting it to a different controller.
    • If you're using an Xbox One Wireless Controller, replace the AA batteries or recharge the Xbox One rechargeable battery.

    Hey!

    Hmmm odd issue. Try unsyncing the controller from the xbox, then sync the controller again. Another option replace the batteries. 3rd, sorry if this is costy, buy a new headset or buy a xbox one headset adapter plug the adapter to the xbox one sync it to
    the console and controller then plug in your headset and it should work from there. Hope this helps!
