    Will an Xbox One headset (TB XO7, Tritton Kunai, Afterglow Karga, etc.) work on an Xbox 360? By work, I mean both chat and stereo sound. A possible connection could be 2.5mm InLine Talkback Cable --> 2.5mm Female to 3.5mm Male Adapter --> XO Headset.
    The thing I was worried about was sound. I figured this may work for chat, but X360 headsets used the RCA connectors or optic cables and dual band transmitters. Would there be any way to make an XO headset work with an X360?

    Also, if someone could enlighten me on how stereo sound is transmitted from the Xbox One to headsets designed for it, and how this technology is different from the 360, I would greatly appreciate it.

    I very much doubt it, no other 360 peripherals work on the XB1.

    Well, the Xbox 360 controller has a 2.5mm headset port, whereas the Xbox One controller has a
    3.5mm headset port, so the existing headset you've used for your Xbox 360 won't be compatible with Xbox One (right off the bat).

    Your headset would still work on Xbox One with a 2.5mm-to-3.5mm adapter.

    Well, the Xbox 360 controller has a 2.5mm headset port, whereas the Xbox One controller has a
    3.5mm headset port, so the existing headset you've used for your Xbox 360 won't be compatible with Xbox One (right off the bat).

    Your headset would still work on Xbox One with a 2.5mm-to-3.5mm adapter.

    Below is a list of non-compatible headsets:

    Non-compatible headsets

    The following headsets are incompatible with the Xbox One Stereo Headset Adapter:

    • Mad Catz Tritton Warhead headset
    • Mad Catz Tritton Primer headset (Mad Catz offers an adapter for the Primer headset to convert the 2.5-mm audio jack to a 3.5-mm audio jack. Contact Mad Catz for support.)
    • The Xbox 360 Wireless Headset and Xbox 360 Wireless Bluetooth Headset
    • Headsets with this 2.5-mm connector will not work because of the connector format. This connector includes a long, cylindrical pin in the middle of the connecting side that does not fit into the Xbox One Stereo Headset Adapter.

    Will racing wheels be recognized from games in backwards compaitbility mode?

    Can I use the accessories (racing wheel, wireless headset, etc.) from my Xbox 360 on my Xbox One?

    Xbox 360 accessories are not compatible with Xbox One, and Xbox One accessories are not compatible with Xbox 360.

    •You can only connect an Xbox 360 Chat Headset using the stereo headset adapter with a 2.5-mm to 3.5-mm converter, which comes with the Xbox One Stereo Headset Adapter. The Xbox One Stereo Headset does not include this adapter cable.
