Xbox one headset STILL not working

I have tried all the troubleshooting methods given on other threads and these do not i have tried other headsets and controllers and that doesn't work, my xbox 360 headset works fine when in a party on there, it is nothing to do with my friends xboxes
as they can hear each other just fine, which leads me to believe its my xbox but this only started when i downloaded the new system update, really need this fixed any help is welcome Cheers

Mic problems on my brand new Xbox One

my mic on my xbox one headset is not working ,i a new headset still not working..........come on fix it MS!

 

Headset and wireless controller

6 week old Xbox one, wireless controller and head set, all working fine and now headset and controller not working together. Checked headset else where and working fine, checked controller and all working, any suggestions please . Have already switched
off and reset, disconnected controller and re-set already still not worked

We are talking about the Xbox One correct? You do have an Xbox One compatible headset right? Or at least the Xbox One adapter for headsets? Do you start your Xbox One with your headset plugged into your controller or do you plug it in after?

I've noticed that your headset must be turned off when you insert a headset adapter, otherwise it doesn't always pick it up as an accessory. Maybe try this if you haven't, let us know if you have tried it as well as any other information you might think
is helpful.

Only use official xbox one headsets, headset is always unpluged untill i enter a party, can also add doing a factory reset on my xbox one does not work

 

Ah, that might be your problem, plugging the headset in. Also, make sure that you check for updates while the headset is plugged in.

For me, if I even unplug my headset while in a game then plug it back in really quick, my headset won't work again until I restart my console. Not sure the reason why but it happens that way. Trying turning on your xbox with the headset in the controller
and see if that helps.

 

I keep seeing the "keep your headset plugged in when updating controller" it would be nice if that was noted during the update process on the Xbox. especially since the controller firmware cannot be "rolled back" once it is updated.

I have trouble shot my headset issue over the last week and it appears that the newest controller update makes my kinect lose "Me" when I get up from my spot and then it causes an error that prevents me from talking through my mic.

I've cleared the DNS, hard reset, tried it on both my controllers, I'm hardwired to modem, NAT-Open, new batteries, Kinect "voice chat in gaming" is turned off(unchecked) etc. if I sit still and don't move my mic works with little issue, if I move around
but stay within kinect "view" my mic will often get static(I only know this because my mates have been my testing subjects), yet if I leave the kinect view with or without my controller(ie I carry it with me to the fridge or I put it down on the seat and leave
without it) my mic will go dead, I can hear everyone but in order to get it to work again I have to go to the home menu and reselect myself as the user and my mic goes live again...

it didn't do this until I updated my controllers, now I read on here that the controller "should" be updated with the headsets plugged in. to top it off, I read that the controllers cannot be reset or rolled back. double-kick to the groin there.

You should make a new post for your own issues that way we can help resolve your issue on a one-on-one basis. However, even after you updated your controller, you should be able to plug in your adapter and then go back to it and it should show there is an
update for it if there is.
