Xbox one headset sound not working

    Xbox one headset sound not working


    When I used my xbox one today, I decided to join a friends party. There was no audio coming from them even though it showed that they were talking. Then when I talked, it showed I was talking. So I know the mic on the headset works, but sound doesn't. I
    tried everything, cleaning the headset, unplugging it, raising the volume, but it still won't give me audio

    Stereo Headset Microphone Issue

    Sound works on both of them, and voice was working on my old one for years. Not a headset issue. It's xbox.

    Xbox One Headset Adapter Problems

    I have a turtle beach px21 headset and purchased the xbox one headset adapter. The stereo sound is coming through really well, but the mic isn't working with it. Is this a known issue or is my headset mic not compatible with the xbox one?

    Sorry to hear the headset trouble you are experiencing with party chat! Have you had a chance run through the Party Chat
    Audio Troubleshooter    ? If not, give that a go, be sure both you and your friend run through each step. Let us know how it goes Xbox one headset sound not working :)

    Chat won't go through headset

    If you're using the new adapter your headset MUST be CTIA and not OMTP (iPhone compatible)

    If it works on an iPhone (chat) then it will not work on Xbox One via the stereo adapter.

    Sound will always work
