Xbox one headset question

I have a Corsair HS30 headset that I use for PC gaming and it has seperate 3.5mm audio/mic leads. If I was to use a audio/mic joiner cable to make it into a single 3.5mm cable, would I get full audio and microphone capability in conjunction with the Xbox
One stereo headset adapter?

Ok, 1st question. Have you updated your controllers firmware with the headset plugged in?

Another question, have you toggled the mute button to make sure you don't have yourself muted?

The only thing you can do is try it to see if it works. Unless it was made very recently chances are it will not though.

I have question bringing it to a friends house as I am not sure if it is the headset or is it something with the receiver of the headset or is there something in the set up in settings with the Xbox one itself
