    Xbox one headset on PC


    Can anyone tell me if the xbox one headset (this one Xbox One Chat Headset kaufen – Microsoft Store de-DE) works fine on a PC ?

    I always used the X360 headset on my PC so i´m guessing this one will work fine too, but i wanna be sure before buying the headset.

    How did you have your Xbox 360 headset connected to your PC?

    As far as I am aware, the Xbox One headset does not use the same kind of port as anything else. This was because Microsoft used a new audio codec for the Xbox One chat, which required this new port.

    I used the wireless adapter to connect the the joystick to the PC, with that done all i needed to do was connect the headset to the controller and the windows would recognize it as Headset (Xbox360 wireless receiver for windows). But i contacted microsoft
    support about the X1 headset and i was told that it will work fine as well, and i already ordered it. When it arrives i will report the result here.

    Didn´t worked!! I was told that microsoft support was amazing but it seems like that when they don´t know the answer you´re looking for they just lie to you...

    Is it a headset that supports Xbox One? Not all headsets are for the Xbox One, some are for just PC.

    I don't think the headsets that came with the Xbox One is compatible for chat yet. I think you need to have one of the 3rd party headsets in order to use for chat on the pc. They come with the 2.5/3.5mm jack that you need to be able to plug into the pc.
    I'm pretty sure your headset has to plug into the pc directly.

    Yes, you can use the Xbox One wireless headset chat mixer on PC if you have the USB wireless adapter.

    To do this, you will need to follow these steps:

    1. Connect the USB wireless adapter to your PC.
    2. Turn on your Xbox One wireless headset and hold down the power button on the headset until it starts flashing. This puts the headset in pairing mode.
    3. Press the pairing button on the USB wireless adapter until the LED starts flashing.
    4. Once the LED on the USB wireless adapter stops flashing and stays lit, the headset is paired with your PC.
    5. Open the Xbox Accessories app on your PC, and click on the "Xbox One Wireless Controller" device.
    6. From there, you can adjust the chat mixer settings to your liking.
    Once you have completed these steps, you should be able to use the chat mixer on your Xbox One wireless headset with your PC.

    Hi, your headset use USB to connect to PC, sadly you can't use it with Xbox One. You need an headset with 3,5mm jack.
