Xbox one headset not working

So I haven't had much issues until now. My headset was working perfectly a few hours ago but now I am unable to chat to my friends in party or game chat. The headset isn't registering my voice. The mute button and volume buttons are both fully functional,
yet my voice can't be heard. Hard resetting and resyncing the controller to the console has made no difference.

First thing would be to log into this site and check for a communication ban
enforcement.xbox.com/home.

 

According to my accounts previous sanctions there is no mention of a communication ban. I was able to communicate perfectly, left and came back online and now my voice can not be heard through the mic. I can hear everyone else speak through the headset and
all of the buttons are fully functional as I mentioned.

 

Please try these steps

Restart your console by going to Settings > Power & Startup > Restart Now

◾Please use our Troubleshoot parties on Xbox One support page for me, and verify you have done all these steps

◾Also attempt our NAT troubleshooter to see if that may help you out

◾Pass the troubleshooter links off to your friends, too

◾Try out a wired connection directly to your modem

I understand that you have Open NAT (or may have it) right now, however the NAT troubleshooter step is required before we are able to continue.

If those do not help you, please update your controller by going to Settings > Devices & accessories > Select your controller > Update (if available). Follow the instructions there, and then post back with what firmware version your controller is on. You
can see this on the controller page, and it should be 1.2.2236.0.

I have tried the troubleshooter for nat, my nat is open.

I have updated my controller

I have restarted my console

I have cleared the cache of the console

The microphone ring doesn't light up when I speak so it's not registering my voice. The issue isn't with everyone else but rather it's with my headset or controller.

 

To update: I have re-synced my controller to the console and deleted and redownload my profile too. No change when I speak the circle does not light up and my voice isnt picked up by the mic

 

I'm having this same issue. I've gone though great lengths to get this fixed. I've contacted xbox support at least a dozen times.

Things I've Tried:

-Hard Reset xbox

-Restore Factory Settings

-Getting a new stereo headset adapter for my 2 older controllers

-Buying 2 new controllers with built in headset jacks

-Updating controllers

-Removing gamer account from xbox then restoring

-Opening ports

-Setting DMZ to xbox

-Wired and wireless connections

-Trying another gamer tag

-Reset network cache

-Xbox headset, Beats, Apple earbuds

-BUYING A BRAND NEW XBOX

I literally went and got a new xbox and it's still not working. Here's the kicker - I can chat though my Kinect when a headset isn't plugged in. If I click the volume buttons on my Beats or Apple headphones people can hear the clicking. In the party window
it shows a headset icon. The headset for chat option is on and nothing is muted. If I can talk through the Kinect that makes me think it cant be a network issue. I have no idea what else I could possibly do.

After chatting with xbox reps for hours at a time they either blame the hardware (2 brand new xbox not working correctly???), faulty headset (ive tried multiple) or they tell me to call the ISP and the ISP just puts it back on xbox. I'm fresh out of ideas
here

 

Having the same issue here. It was working earlier and went out. Not sure what just happened. It happened after i updated yesterday though
