Xbox One headset mic not found

Hi all

I was on xbox speaking to my friends today, no problems however I had to go out for 5 minutes so turned my xbox off. I came back, turned it back on and it says it cant find my mic which is a Turtle Beach. All updates are done. What should I do? Thanks. Also
when I try to get my controller to buzz on device settings, it wont now

Xbox One Headset Adapter Problems

I have a turtle beach px21 headset and purchased the xbox one headset adapter. The stereo sound is coming through really well, but the mic isn't working with it. Is this a known issue or is my headset mic not compatible with the xbox one?

Mic Broken?

I think this is happening to me. I found a fix for it. Question, do you turn your Xbox one on with voice?

Me, whenever I turn my xbox one on with voice and then turn my controller on to start or join a party, my mic/headset does not work. However when I turn the xbox on with the controller and then start or join a party, my mic/headset works.

Yes my kinetic chat is turned off..

I'm sorry to hear you're having issues.

Have you attempted hard resetting your console? (Holding down the power button for 8-10 seconds)

This usually fixes a lot of problems, but if that does not work go ahead and try to remove your controller from your console and then pair it again.

Let me know if either of these work for you and then we can follow up on it.

i found updating my controller with the headset mic plugged into the headset solved this problem

Your headset won't work with Xbox. You have a PC headset.

The headset I found is a PC headset with a separate mic and line audio cable.

The mic and audio need to be together on one cable.
