XBox One headset issue

Connecting a headset via the controller is poor at best and pathetic at worst.

Just getting the thing to connect is a very frustrating process.

I have spent many hours searching for solutions... folllowed all official advice posted by Microsoft.. None of which worked.

Tried it on 2 controllers, with 2 headsets. Both headsets work perfectly on a PC and both fail to connect to the XBox One

None of this is consistent of course... had periods where they connected followed by other periods hre they didn't.

No apparent logic to it

I recently found that disabling the instant on option in settings allowed me to connect... How long this will last is beyond me.

Looking online, it seems that the problem has been around for several years now. Have little or no faith that things will improve any time in the future.

So the question is... Will Microsoft issue a firmware upgrade for the XBox One and controllers that actually fixes this problem?

If not, is there any other way that I can connect headphones and microphone to the XBox One?

Headset Issue ( Xbox One )

Ok, try holding the power button on the console for 10 seconds until it shuts down. See if that fixes it.

I recommend to take a look at the following articles:

If the issue persists, try the Microsoft Headset Adapter to help make the 3rd party headset compatible with the Xbox One. Currently our team is working on a fix to help align 3rd party headsets.

Third party companies produce headsets for Xbox one if the headset is a third party product you would have to contact that company for warranty issues. Only if the headset is an actual xbox produced item would it be an xbox issue.

Try using a Headset Adapter for compatibility issues.
Try your Headset on another controller, if you can. If the headset works on the second controller, try
