  1. Xbox One Headset Doesn't Work?

So I got myself the Xbox One around the holidays and of course wasted no time hopping on to enjoy the games I had gotten with it. But of course, with the release of games like Titanfall (which came out today), I wanted to be able to talk to my friends while
in-game. I've found that my headset doesn't work whatsoever, or at least not in any way that would prove useful. Whether in a party or in public chat, my headset picked up no sound. When plugged into my controller, there was the usual light sound in the background
that all headsets have, that slight fuzz or whatever you'd decide to call it. I can use the volume controls on the headset when plugged into the controller and I do hear the beeping sound when it is at maximum volume, but whether it is muted or not, I can
not be heard through it, nor can I hear others through it. I have switched my controller to my spare and came to the same results. My settings allow for me to talk to 'Everybody' with voice and text chat, so the issue isn't under my settings. I have looked
through all of the help suggestions there are in the Help Desk and come up with no solutions. I don't see how dirt would have gotten into the headset, as I have kept it clean, unused, and packaged. I have tried turning off my Kinect and even unplugging it
to come up with the same results. Where does the issue lie? Is there some problem with the headset? Or some problem with my controllers? Or does the issue stem from some setting or set-up issue in the Xbox One console itself?

    :)

Xbox One controller headset doesn't work

    Hi!

I tried to search on the internet a solution, but everywhere I found, that the controller out of the box working with 3.5mm headset. The controller have 3,5mm jack port. But, when I pluged the headset, nothing happens...

Maybe, that some settings are wrong? If someone has met a similar problem, thank you for your help!

  5. The issue is that mine doesn't output or receive input from outside the headset itself. Like, I can't hear people through it, but I can hear the beep from the volume button. It's not just party chat, it's everything. I just read that someone has been through
three headsets, all new, that had the same problem. Like, that's absolutely ridiculous.

Dungeonkeeper...did you install the controller update? I have this same problem but I am pretty sure it didn't start until after I updated the controller the other day. I tried to do the update again, and I noticed it said to have the headset connected for
the update... which I may not have done. So I connected the headset and tried to update again, but it just says it is already updated... No clue what to try next.

  8. Xbox One Headset Doesn't Work?

I don't really know. I know there was an update for the Xbox itself, but I didn't really read what for. I was half-asleep at the time because it was late. I even fell asleep during that update a few times. All I really know is that the core functions of
the headset don't work (ie: communications), but the speaker inside the ear-piece is working fine in that I can hear the beeping from raising the volume on the headset to max.

Sign out then sign back in on your xbox one. See if that helps. This fixed my issue. Auto login bug?

What big reveals are you hoping for?

4K Blu-Ray drive with 4K games, hdcp 2.2 hdmi outputs.

A wireless headset that doesn't go over both ears. A replica of the 360 headset that works on Xbox One. When will this ever happen? It's one of the most needed features. It's a disgrace there's no official headset. I heard MS designed Xbox One in a manner that
doesn't allow for true mono wireless headset like the 360. How short sighted?

    Headset question

An Xbox One headset does not work on the 360 as a 360 headset doesn't work on the Xbox One.

Also it's not recommended to play your 360 through the X1 just because of latency issues. So if you're playing fast paced games like shooters it's not that great.

That doesn't work. A gamestop employee told me the X12 won't work on new controllers because it's analog and it only works with digital or something... does anyone know, if I buy the (overpriced) headset xbox one headset adapter will it work then?

Headset doesn't work with Xbox One Controller

I am experiencing the exact same issue and also don’t have a clue as to what the problem is. I plug the mic in and it treats it as not having a mic plugged in at all. However, the mic works fine on my phone and PC, and even if i plug it into my old controller
that is missing a thumbstick I am able to use the mic. This hasn’t been an issue until just a couple days ago and it really makes no sense. I can’t find a solutuon to this anywhere, so @Xbox, please let your voice be heard!
